Don’t buy these if you want to actually play them.
These are so not worth the time or money. At one point in time I was a competitive bagpiper who played at a grade 3level and I have been away from serious piping for some time. I have a very nice set of Gibson pipes that I started out with and I was not expecting these to be even close to the quality of those pipes. I was looking for a cheap set that I could just pick up and play and not have to worry about all of the maintenance that comes with good sets of pipes. These came with junk reeds that fell apart and won’t even make a noise so I slapped a set of ezeedrone reeds and my McCann chanter reeds. While the chanter is surprisingly nice the drones would not tune. This is after I combatted an air leak in the bag and had to retie the drone stocks into the bag to make it air tight. Now the shape of the bag is weird as well. The bass drone kept wanting to fall in to my face and the tenor drones felt out of place as well. This is not even mentioning the finish of the wood being absolutely horrendous. 100% avoid these pipes. They’re nothing more than a nice decoration in your house. A horrible “instrument” if you can even call them that.
