The Second-Best Friend (Billie B. Brown)

After trying many chapter books that my daughter would willingly read without a fight I stumbled upon this series of books. She quickly fell in love and started reading them faster than I could order them on Amazon. These books have been a hit in our house. She loves each story and looks forward to the next book. We have now read 5 in this series and all have been a HIT!

I've been looking for early chapter books that my daughter with down syndrome can read and this one fits the bill...easy reading and not too 'babyish' for a struggling reader. I will definitely be looking for more books in this series.
