Accents and Rebounds: For the Snare Drummer
B**.
A Second Classic by the PASIC Hall of Fame Educator
I was fortunate to get an early preview of this book as I was studying with Mr. Stone when he was writing this book . As students we were asked to play and then give Mr. Stone feedback on the various exercises. Under Mr. Stone's guidance -Joe Morello actually wrote the exercises in the Accent Section. Mr. Stone's technique on the proper method to play double stroke rolls is now the "gold standard" of double roll technique and is taught in military and college drum lines around the world. The final section "Rolling in Mixed Rhythms" will take your technique to a new level. Try It It Works. Worth every penny!
Having had good results using “Stick Control” I purchased this back in the late 70’s or early 80’s. Sometimes “follow-up” books aren’t all that great. This one, however, is well worth the money. The time I’ve spend with it has been nothing but helpful. Very thoughtful book by the master himself. A continuation of “Stick Control” that really helps one get his/her technique together. Highly recommended.

MUST HAVE #2, THE BOOK IS ONLY LIMITED TO YOUR IMAGINATION.
I'm sure I've written a review before on this book along with Stick Control. The Stone "Trio" are as follows: Stick Control, Accents and Rebounds, and Joe Morello's "Master Studies" which he and Stone collaborated together on before G.L.S.'s passing.I have heard so many musical approaches to drums over the years and "lo and behold"...there sits Stone in the shadows somewhere in this book. It's almost eerie. And remember....its not hands no a snare drum/pad only, it's FEET, Left hand/Right Foot, Right hand/Left foot. Recently I have been doing the dotted note/ triplet patterns, put on a headphone clicker and working around the set. what a power house!!!

A must have!!!!
If you're new at percussion, or a seasoned player you need this book. My musician friends and I don't call chop buster for nothing. This book will break down any bad habits, improve strength and endurance, and over all improve your overall ability no matter if you're on marimba or behind a drum set. I cannot say enough good things about this book.

Tons of great exercises for stick control
This book has been around for ages and is a go to for building chops. I used it when I was a student and have now bought a copy for my young son who is learning. Tons of great exercises for stick control.

Great book.
Wonderful book, has notation for the different kinds of strokes (like, the stick comes back all the way up, or it stays down near the drum head etc) and I received in it beautiful condition.

A staple for percussion students.
Used weekly by my son in his private lessons. A requirement from his teacher, and a very good book.
