Handcrafted shelf with a drop down door that reveals a hidden compartment. Drop down door has a beautiful cabin carving. Shelf has been slightly burned and hand rubbed polyurethane finish. Its made of pine wood. It measures overall approximately 17 1/2" side to side, 7 1/2" front to back and 4 1/4" tall. The inside area measures 13 1/2" wide, 5 1/2" front to back and 2 3/4" top to bottom. In between the hinges is about 10 1/4". The bottom is covered with a carpet liner. You have quick access to the bottom compartment by pulling on either the right or left upper corners of the door. It looks like a decorative part of the shelf. The hinges are spring loaded and hold the door in the open and closed position. Screws are used to assemble the primary supporting structure. Rated at a 20lb capacity total inside and out to be on the safe side. There are 2 pre drilled mounting holes. Hardware to mount it to either a solid wood surface or drywall included. For drywall installs you will use one wood screw in one hole into a wall stud and a heavy duty drywall anchor in the other hole. Comes slightly burned with a hand rubbed polyurethane finish.
