I like packing cubes in my carryon and this is perfect for backpacking me because, even in the dark, I can feel for a category and know in my mind how far down the section my item is. No more rummaging! I love how it compacts down like the bag I use for my sleeping gear. That it is not waterproof doesn't matter to me a whit. I can either line my backpack with handy white trash compactor bag - have been using the same one for years -or use a larger waterproof buckle bag to put this. I plan to buy more of these for family stocking stuffers at Xmas, if I can wait that long. I certainly don't want to give up mine.

I would have been fine ordering a size smaller than the 20L that I got, but I am very happy with this buy.

I really like this in theory. I can separate and sort clothing in particular in the compartments. I am kind of concerned about whether the seams are really sturdy. I've got it packed and compressed and the seams seem a bit stressed. Taking on a five day pack trip next month so time will tell.......
