I’ve been using another company’s bags for years and although I’ve had issues with them unsealing I kept buying them. Recently those bags were out of stock and I came across these. Needing them rather quickly I trusted the reviews and made an order. Straight off the bat I could tell these were better quality and a bit thicker. Been using these bags for about a month now and have gone through 2 rolls so far. I saw a review where someone was complaining about the weight, that reviewer failed to realize that the inner roll is a thin plastic where previously it was a thicker cardboard. So far none of the bags I’ve sealed have broken seal in the freezer or Sous vide. I have packaged meat with bones intact and they have yet to puncture like my other bags which I would have to place a piece of butcher paper in the bag to protect against punctures. These are my new go to’s and gotta say glad my other bags were out of stock otherwise I wouldn’t have come across these. Such a great value for the quality.

I purchased this product specifically to fit into my Food Saver 5460. The roll is 2 3/4 and the hole in the FS is 2 1/2 and is not a real FS brand but Avid Armor product. I wanted something that worked more smoothly than when I unroll part of the roll to fit into my FS as my hand made rolls try to roll into the cutting mechanism, reason for 4 stars. I also purchased as it is much cheaper than the FS brand reason my stars didn’t go down more :)It does have an acceptable vacuum seal and I can write on it with my name brand Sharpie and will not wipe off, not my knock off Sharpie brand. So for the money savings vs FS, short term storage it is great. When I have a long term freezer storage I would continue use the “real” Food Saver brand as it has a better vacuum seal around the product.I have not tried anything with sharp edges or bones in the Avid Armor Brand.Update: 2/13/22 It does hold up well with bones and sharp edges.

These bags work with my food saver brand vacuum sealer. These bags hold the seal and hold the vacuum well. My food stays fresh in the fridge or freezer. Nice thing I wish they had a label for writing on.

We shop the sales and buy chicken and lamb in larger quantities. These vacuum seal bags are versatile and you can make them fit whatever your freezing. And, if you're in a geographic area where Ridwell recycles, rinsed and dried, these bags can be recycled!

These are easy to use and very durable

We use these bags for our Foodsaver vacuum sealer. We have found these bags to be equal to or better than the Foodsaver brand and certainly far less expensive. Buying these allows us to purchase food in quantity at Costco or Sam's Club or our local butcher shop, divide it up, vacuum seal it and have assurance the quality of the meat or other food product will be maintained due to vacuum sealing.The ability to cut to size is far superior over pre-determined bag sizes that just never seem to fit properly.We have experienced no problems with seal failure or bones poking through creating a loss of vacuum.Easy to mark products with a Sharpie - doesn't smear or wipe off.Bottom line - we have no complaints whatsoever on these vacuum bags.
