Nalgene Sustain Tritan BPA-Free Water Bottle Made with Material Derived From 50% Plastic Waste, 16 OZ, Wide Mouth

It’s nicely made and a hard size Nalgene bottle to find.

This little Nalgene bottle surprisingly versatile. As an avid backpacker, I'm always looking for dual use items and this fits the bill. I love the Nalgene brand and have used their 1L bottles for a long time. As I've started to reduce the weight of my pack I swapped out the heavy Nalgene for smart water bottles unless I'm going somewhere there is snow. This bottle is the best of both worlds. It's the same great materials but lighter in the weight department. It can hold boiling water and not melt. It's great to take a hot water bottle into your sleeping bag when its cold. It fits in my shoulder holster, so it's great for quick access to electrolytes. I also use it for dehydrating vegetables. I pour in the water in the morning and my veggies are ready to cook at dinner time. No worries about it opening in my pack as Nalgene is a brand you can trust. I also use it for rehydrating meat but that's only for about 15 minutes and its the perfect container for sun tea. Give it a try, you'll be surprised at how useful this bottle can be!

This water bottle is SMALL, which at first I was a little unsure of but it turned out perfect for me (my hand is small too, but still covers this bottle impressively lol). I didn't want to carry around large bottles and I work in a hospital so I have plenty of access to filtered water everywhere. I don't drink a lot of water but I think for my size and activity level I drink enough and it varies day to day. I was always getting paper cups each day I worked and figured I should do better for the environment. But also, I wanted something wide-lipped to allow for ice to fall in and extremely simple for washing purposes; same reason I didn't want a straw bottle or any with a contraption or suction. This was wide rimmed and simple screw-on, so easy to wash and wonderfully sized to carry easily even in a large pocket, and I can refill whenever I want.FYI if it wasn't already clear this is NOT an insulating bottle. Ice melts in it easily and it doesn't impressively maintain water coldness but that wasn't important to me. This was exactly what I wanted 🥹 and if people want a slightly larger size, the 32 oz version was pretty nice too, I just returned it because it was slightly too large for what I wanted it for. If they had made a 20 or 24 oz wide-rimmed simple bottle I woulda gotten that instead :)

Perfect nalgene quality. Fits anywhere. No leaking problems. Nice and handy little water bottle. At a good price too.

Bought my first set of Nalgene water bottles in-store, but couldnt find them again recently, so ordered four online. They are simple, functional, sturdy, dishwasher safe, and attractive without any gimmicky attachments. It's the only brand I'll use from now on. One thing though: I will only buy the widemouth versions because it is a little harder to clean the smaller mouth versions, whether by hand or in the dishwasher.
