Janky Locking Mechanism
Box: Well madeLock: Janky locking mechanism which was loose upon receipt and then quickly broke. I returned. Its basically a thin brass hook which is nailed to the piece of wood which slides sideways. The wood is only thinly penetrated so its not build to last.

Quality control issue
While this little box was solidly built and not really expensive, it had some workmanship flaws. The one side panel was a completely different stain color than the rest of the box. Also, the wood where the lid hinges were fastened was very rough and not finished smoothly. It was meant to be a gift but I had to return it.
