Some designer really put some thought into these. I'm an engineer and these are well designed. There are multiple functions depending on how you want to use them. First the remote function. I got 4 sets of these for my hallway bookcases. They all use the same frequency from the remote so all 24 puck lights turn on/off/high/low/and 30 minute timer at the same time. Very convenient even though I now have three extra remotes (no biggy, I lose remotes quite often). They can also be tapped on/off individually without the remote, so that might be helpful in some uses. The self stick pads are 3M and work well under my shelves. And the cover does remove and re-install easily for battery replacement. The remote comes with a little sheath you can screw onto a wall or other surface (screws not included) so you can slide the remote in for storage and easy access. And you really can't beat the price at $9.99 for a set of six WITH a very easy to use remote. I did my whole setup (24 puck lights total) for under $60 total including a lot of batteries (3 per puck light and 2 per controller). Very pleased with the result.

I'm using these in a large safe and for that they work pretty good. They nice and low profile, so don't get in the way and all 6 lights turn on/off with a single press on the remote (which I installed on the safe door). Each light takes 3 AAA and the remote 2 AAA which means you'll be buying a lot of AAA batteries! Don't know how long the battery life is yet- I'll update this review if it turns out they suck.Removed a single star because the lights are made of a really cheap plastic. I wasn't expecting really high quality, but these are just about as cheaply made as you could possibly make them.

I recommend against buying these - unless you plan to never remove them and want to fly through batteries. I purchased these lights to go under the cabinets in my apartment’s (very dark) kitchen. They worked somewhat well (more later) for the time I had them, but the stickers used to affix them left a horrible residue that took forever to clean up and some even left permanent damage to the cabinets (goodbye, security deposit). If you install these and wish to remove them later, have lots of goo gone and a knife handy.For the time I did use them, the lights worked somewhat well. The light they put out is incredibly harsh, so I made filters to put over them which made the light look much nicer. I eventually stopped using them however, because they used too many batteries. Even buying batteries in a Costco-sized pack, I was flying through them. They weren’t worth it.

I was really excited to get these and put them in my closet so I can actually see in there. At first they were great, but it's been about 3 weeks and they have dimmed a lot and a couple of them flicker. I do not leave them on all the time or even use them during the day. So, I'm a little disappointed that they are dying so fast, and yes the batteries were new.

These are cute, give off nice light. I like the remote features. But the batteries died so fast. For under cabinet lighting, you want the lights to be on quite a bit, right? These devices cannot really support that, apparently.

these are terrible. they work wonderfully if you have just put in a fresh batch of batteries, but after about 6 hours they are worthless.

Researched lights forever before buying there and then they only lasted a few weeks before all went through the batteries. Used for maybe 5 minutes run time total.

Used as lighting on 2nd stairwell, does what it says in the ad. and I like the fact that they can be switched on/off independently as well. Will recommend to others.

Good lights just battery dies quickly even with expensive battery

Update: Have had these about a week and one of the six has already malfunctioned and stopped working. Hopefully that’s not an ill omen for the rest... :\I’ve only just received these, so can’t speak to longevity of the product yet... but so far these are great. Being a renter of a flat and not willing to invest in ‘proper’ under cabinet lighting, these are the *perfect* solution. They are a great white / cool light (so perfect for the kitchen or bathroom) and their flexibility with controlling via tap-on and remote makes them even more valuable. So far, so happy! :)

Hardly used and 4 out of the 6 lights I ordered have gone faulty within a few months. Waste of money.
