It works great - but it is VERY loud
I needed a new blade and gasket for my Ninja blender model BL450-70... saw this one on Amazon and ordered it. It works great, no leaks... works as good as the original and seems to be made nearly as well as the original. The plastic does look a little bit cheaper - but it works fine and the price is right.Update: I've had this for a month or so now, and I use it about twice a week for smoothies... anyhow, it has become very loud when using. So loud that I have to wear hearing protection. I mean, seriously screeching loud. I think it is because the blades are dull maybe? And I am using this on frozen fruit. The previous (original) blade was kinda loud, but nothing like this.

Not so Excellent replacement part Update
This was an exact fit as a replacement for my original blender blades. The original developed a leak after 3 years of use. It leaked through the O-Ring. To bad this is not available for purchase. However this unit is an exact replacement. Make sure that your model number is on the list of qualified for using this part.Update: After using about 20 times bearing the blades are now failing. It is now leaking when I use it.

Not Ninja Quality
This was to be a replacement for my Ninja that I use every day. I have used the old one for 3 years and never had a problem. This one leaked from the beginning. It will not seal on either of my blender cups. I am very unhappy with it. Not Ninja quality!

Bearing locked up after 9 months
After regular use making smoothies with strawberries and blueberries, no ice or other hard frozen things, the blade started turning really hard and is now locked up. Prior to locking up, I ran it with only water and there were many small black pieces of something (plastic? rubber? metal shavings?) that were floating around after running. Also, stuff would get under the silicon o-ring over time and build up, leaving a really gross solid chunks of goop.

the blade does not properly tighten onto the cup and leks from the bottom of the screw
I tried to use it once, filled cup with water to clean and ended up with a big watery mess on my kitchen counter!

Don't Buy. It doesn't work.
It doesn't work. I have the Ninja Bl-450. I ordered this because my stock blade had a crack in it. The stock blade worked but it would leak. When this came in I tried it out and it wouldn't work at all. After I tried this, I put the stock blade back in and it worked. Don't buy.

why does it need replacement
I almost bought a another Ninja blender but changed mind after compare the price between a new blender and another 6 fin extractor blade. after all, the motor is good.Well, this is the 2nd time I bought the same blade, I'm not sure how the first original one that came with the machine broke and the 2nd one I bought went bad again after a few months. Was it quality or otherwise?Either way, the one I bought this time looks genuine and works fine. I hope this one will last longer.

They say this blade fits my Ninja model (BL 455 70), but it DOES NOT. It is slightly too small and therefore does not fasten tightly. Do not buy this!
