Cuts onions and tomates perfectly great buy

This was a terrible item and waste of money. Bought this to slice potatoes and won't fit most potatoes nor any that are misshapen. The prongs of the unit are not straight and many were misaligned. Couldn't get knives to fit to slice anything and I tried 6 different knives of different thinness and style. Grip was not easy to use either. The part it is supoaed to sit on was not and had more of a rounded edge so it was sliding around. Not stury enough. Very disappointed.

Love what this product is intended for and while I do get good slices and dices while using it; about 1/4 of whatever in chopping in to does not get touched by the knife. Also from the picture you can see some of the prongs are bent making it hard to get my knife in between them. They have been like this since I unboxed the item. Easy to clean and store.

My grandmother had one of these and I was happy to find one of my own. It is great to get even slices of tomatoes. Very easy to use.

(+) Because homegrown apples aren't are uniform size like you find at the grocer I needed to be able to slice them but without coring them like most machines do. The machines assume a standard apple and core size so would generate a lot of unnecessary waste when removing the cores of non-standard sized apples.(-) The spacing between each slice pinches the knife blade making it difficult to remove with most every cut and this is using the thinnest knife I could find. It helps to perform the cuts close to the edge of your countertop edge then you can push the knife handle down below the countertop level and lever the knife out of the pinch after each cut. This helps but it's a workaround to the underlying product deficiency.20241001 Update - see photo.

Won't cut clear through the bottom for obvious reasons, but holds well and one can finish the slice after removing the vegetables.

Not worth the money. Doesn’t open wide enough to do normal onions or tomatoes. Will do small Roma tomatoes. Prongs don’t line up very well so doesn’t make cutting easier .

I love it because I can have my grandkids help me fix dinner and not have to worry about them getting cut or hurting their selves
