Tried with smartphone and Sony A7iii
I tried this both with my smartphone and my professional mirrorless camera and it proved to be very useful for having access to my scripts and reading them whilst looking at the camera, without compromising much on the quality. I mean by placing the camera inside of the teleprompter, the lighting becomes quite dim and requires you to bump the settings, either by decreasing the shutter speed, changing the aperture or iso settings, or adding a lot of external lighting. Also there are compromises with the field of view and the types of lenses you can use, especially with regards to shooting distance. However, this is quite expected, as this teleprompter is better suited for situations where you face the camera either for vlogging, or reviewing something while not moving angles much. The dedicated app provides a good tool for uploading and managing a script. You can adjust the colours, fonts, size, etc. It also comes with a joystick that provides many control features. I tried to fit both a smartphone and iPad to read from, but I definitely preferred the iPad as it takes advantage of the large coated area and makes scripts more visible. The teleprompter is very sturdy in terms of build quality. The metal base and parts give an impression of safety and I wasn't worried about my £3000 camera setup when it was mounted on it.All in all, this is quite a reliable teleprompter that would solve a lot of issues and save you a lot of time if you rely on long scripts for videos, vlogs, conference talks, etc.

For the PRO'S, it comes with everything !!
If you are a YouTuber or have your channel, this is paramount for your recordings. What struck me is the fact that this teleprompter comes with everythingFirst of all, it doesn't have one it has 3 /tripod screws of different sizes to work with most cameras plus an additional arm with 2 extensible catches to make sure you can shoot with everything from Cameras to phones ....to go pros. The mirror stands on a metal rig that can be adjusted to phones, tablets etc and also the mirror itself can be adjusted to the cameras/phone/go pro.It does come with a remote as well that works with the manufacturer's APP, however, I did not manage to find the app on android for my tablet, but I did manage to find it separately on the manufacturer's page. The issue is when I installed it crashed ...so long story short I installed a different app which works just as fine. I didn't take it down a star for the app because the rig works fine without it and it might just be the fact that the app is not made for my tablet. All in all a good professional tool with high versatility, and way more options than the other ones on the market I would advise to buy it.

Great build prompter, let down by lousy app!
Though it’s expensive, the great solid build of this iPad/iPhone teleprompter makes it worth the price. The frame is strong and secure and the tripod mount is excellent; I’d have no fear when attaching an expensive camera as the promoter is really solid and well balanced.Unfortunately the accompanying Moman Prompter app is really poor. Like any promoter app it allows you to import a text doc or to type in on the spot. But, bizarrely, the rudimentary app doesn’t allow you to type in landscape mode (ie with an iPad keyboard attached) because the app window (just a blank page for text) doesn’t rotate! It’s like the developers have never seen an iPad before: almost all iPad keyboards work in landscape mode!! So, after buying this expensive gadget, you’ll end up typing in landscape while turning your head 90 degree to try to see what you’re typing. And in top of that, though you can enlarge the text perfectly in Play mode, when you’re inputting there are no such controls so it’s almost impossible to see what you’re doing. Finally, the remote control isn’t great either. It has speed up, slow down and play/pause buttons, which is good, but the build quality is awful and the play/pause button is so noisy it’s almost guaranteed to show up in your audio recording. Such a pity: for a bit of extra thought and care this could be a genius product.

A quality robust Teleprompter with remote control device.
This Teleprompter comes with its own strong carrying/storage bag and includes a remote-control device, phone tripod mount, two phone clamps, 1/4 screw and instructions. This piece of equipment is very useful for the streamer and filmmaker, fairly easy to use and quick to set up. The quality is good and made from strong materials which I can imagine will last if looked after properly. The camera is simple to install on the quick-release plate and the height and position can be adjusted to suit. The phone or tablet is placed on the front clamp and simply fixed into place. I use an android phone and you need to download the app from their website which was simple to do and the remote connected without any issues. The app itself is fairly basic and simple to grasp and I could download .txt files or JPGs into the app and then display them on the teleprompter. I was unable to download PDF or Word files into the app, but you can copy and paste them or write a script directly into a file on the app. You can control the size of the text, text scrolling speed, colour of text and background via the app or remote-control device.Overall, a good quality professional teleprompter for the avid streamer, filmmaker and news reader.

Good but let down by remote control and app
The prompter itself is pretty good quality but there isn't much to go wrong as its just some metal holding up a piece of glass. What lets this down is the fact that the remote control is rubbish and glitchy. Mine worked for a bit then stopped working. My ipad said it was connected to its bluetooth but still nothing. When I tried to control the speed of the text manually to try and get around this that was very sensitive and the rolling words were either too fast or too slow.If they fixed these issues it would be good.

Does not work well with iPhone as camera!!!
The companies these days are so "bait and switch". Its a good thing Amazons return policy has never let me down. They start with something great then slowly start degrading quality and raising prices... its not a business model build on integrity but rather built on business... and the consumer pays the price for everything. The initial reviews I saw on this teleprompter showed that it worked well with iPhones in horizontal and vertical shooting modes. They also showed a much more innovative phone attachment as well... which absolutely led me to buy this. HOWEVER, when I got the MT12 they had changed the phone attachment to a much more simple style (and cheap as heck too) and it did not work at all with my iPhone 13 pro max. When I notified the company no one responded. Its sad too because they do have something nice here...The MT12 looked great with my iPhone 10XR as the reader using "Promtsmart Pro" (39.00 on app store) and im certain you will like it when using a mirrorless camera.. but once again, if you are buying this to use your phone as the recorder it will not work. Moman needs to step it up or they will miss a huge part of the market share to brands like Elgato. Honestly, I would've paid 180.00-200.00 for the MT12 if it would have worked well with my phone because after getting it all set up it sure looked sweet... and the carrying case that comes with it will be nice to have for sure.If I had a mirrorless camera I would probably buy this again because these types of prompters do not need anything but a reading device, like a spare phone or iPad ect... which means you can take it anywhere. Good luck!

Teleprompter valido
