A great value for an enameled cast iron baking dish
This is a great baking dish at an unbelievably low price. I use it for eggplant parm, baked chicken, or anything where you need even heat for cooking. I take it right to the table for serving. The interior, while not non-stick, cleans up easily. My only surprise after receiving it was that it was a tad smaller than I expected. So, to put that in practical terms, it will hold 8 eggplant slices. A regular 9x12 pan would hold 10.The literature that comes with the pan tells you to limit cooking temperatures to a maximum of 375º. I've used it at 400º and haven't noticed any problems with it. Cast iron gets very hot and retains its heat, so I suspect the manufacturer is trying to keep you from burning whatever it is you're cooking, or over-stressing the pan. Like glass cookware, where you normally reduce cooking temps by 25º, the people at Essenso don't want you to destroy your dinner and the baking dish by using too high a heat setting. IMHO, 400º works fine for foods that need to be browned on top and doesn't do any damage to the baking dish. I would be careful about going any higher than that. This pan is an excellent value. Having used it, I'd buy it again. I have no hesitations in recommending it.

Heavy solid pans but a bit undersized
These are hefty pans. I bought 2 because of the small size. I regularly cook with cast iron so this was not a shock to me. For those new to CI, you'll need both hands to move these in and out of oven.Like normal CI, they heat evenly and hold it well. Transfer from stove top to oven back to the stove top is no issue and is what this pan excels at.Only reason for a 4 star is their size. These are a recent purchase and will see how they hold up to the test of time and food

Wasn't as large as we would like. We have 10 people in the family

I Had Outstanding Results Using This Pan
Smaller than the 9 x 13 pan you're used to but actually quite useful in the long run (size is about 8 1/2 by 11 1/2). I roasted a whole chicken in it in the oven and because of the truer fit and the even heating of the pan itself it came out of the oven the best roast chicken I'd ever done in my kitchen. Lasagna for three or four fits this pan perfectly. It also produces biscuits that are evenly browned all way round. The quality of the enameling is visible to the eye and the orange color I selected looks good in the kitchen. It washes up well and looks like it'll last a lifetime. If there are any longevity problems however I'll come back here and redo the review.I'd recommend it for those jobs that are smaller than the standard roasting pan because the fit and even heating produces outstanding results.

WHY PAY MORE?!?!?!
YES, it's smaller, but the dimensions given are accurate, and pan is perfect for our empty-nested family. (NOTE: will fit 9 strips of traditional lasagne - 3 in each layer - ends a little curled under). Cleaned in dishwasher, normal cycle, when new - no problems. Then baked a meal of cheesy lasagne; bottom and sides wiped clean even when pan - and cheese - were cooled; then cleaned in dishwasher again. No chips or scrapes. So far, so good, and not missing my larger Le Creuset which was a (REALLY) early inheritance for my daughter.

Very economical price for a cast pan!
This is a review of the Chambery Cast Baking-Lasagna Pan by Essenso. This was purchased to go with my other cast iron skillet and dutch oven.I looked around and could not justify the costs of the other options such as Le Creuset when this in a side by side comparison had the same and yet better features.-This cast pan has four layers of enamel. If you are not sure what enamel does, it coats the cast iron and helps it from cracking, chipping, rusting, etc. Most other pans will only have one or two layers.-This has larger handles on both sides to allow you to move this easy and also takes into consideration the larger over gloves.-Is cast which is known to offer a steady even heat and is a pan that retains the heat.-Can be used on and in your typical cooktops. (Description states you can use this over a campfire, but I would leave my cheap pans for that if I was you.)-Just some of the foods we really enjoy cooking in this is tuna noodle casserole, mac and cheese, stuff peppers and lasgna. (Great, now I am hungry again…..)-Oh and if there was any question, it has a lifetime limited warranty.Notes-Tips-I feel you should always season your cast even if they come pre seasoned or do not call for it for the best results. This one does not call for it and only recommends you wash with warm water – soap and thoroughly dry before use.-If you are like me, you will find that using cast sometimes discolors the sides of the vibrant colored pan. Just rub the outside with some baking soda mixed with a little water with a soft cloth. You may need to use a little pressure, but this works great for me.-This is very opinionated; however, I do in fact use a corn brush and a little soap in warm water to clean my pan after using. Some people say never use soap, but I have never had an issue doing this with my ceramic coated cast. I do however dry it thoroughly immediately and re season it on the stop afterwards to get it ready to store and use again.Only thing I did notice was the depth was a little lower than I had though in my mind. It is still a good sized cast pan, but wish it had a higher side wall. While the price was excellent, I had to knock a star as the side wall was too low for my liking and typical cooking needs.Summary – This is a well built, heavy duty solid and easy to use cast iron pan which I feel works very well and will serve me a long time. I would certainly recommend this to friends and family. And the saying does apply to this. You get what you pay for. So if you want something that will last long and be quality, it is worth every penny.I don’t know about you, but I depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon. I also read what reviewers on Amazon have to say. I want to help others by providing my reviews that detail the product as well as the experience I have with the products that I get on Amazon. Please note I have no relationship with this seller and I’m not compensated in any way for my review.I did receive this at a discounted price in exchange for an unbiased and honest review. I take my reviews serious and will only provide my true feedback. Thank you!

Nice quality cast iron baking pan
I love using cast iron because it cooks food so nicely, but I was still using glass baking pans like I grew up with. After baking a cake and having it come out uneven, I decided to find a cast iron baking pan. The Essenso Chambery Cast Iron Baking/Lasagna Pan was basically the size I wanted (it's a little smaller than my usual 9x13), and was reasonably priced, so I got it. I baked a cake in it and it came out beautifully. And the pan itself is gorgeous and it made a nice presentation! I'm very pleased with it and will purchase more of this brand.
