I normally make my children their costumes and did tinker with the idea of either fairy wings (which just weren't going to cut it on this occasion - Fairy wings are quite different from Angel wings) or making a pair of wings with purchased feathers. That idea went out the window when I saw the cost of a few feathers! Being short of any stray geese or swans to pluck I happened across these and I am so pleased I did!They arrived quickly (I think I ordered them on Friday and they arrived on the next Monday afternoon) and were well packaged in their own individualplastic cellophane sleeves.For the price, these are an absolute bargain - I was extremely pleased with them when I received them, as (to be honest) I expected them to look a bit cheap and nasty for the amount they cost. Absolutely not! They have the fluffy, downy feathers at the top, changing to longer, stronger feathers down to the base. (The base is a simple cardboard one but is fairly sturdy) The halo is an alice band with a mix of fluff and silver tinsel wound round a circlet, which is held up by two wires. (the join has a fluffy bit to cover it up) It arrives flat and you just need to twist the halo up so it sits at a right angle to the alice band. The angel wings also arrive flat and need to be opened up.Looked so lovely in her school nativity. (Yes, she is under the suggested age, being only 5, but she was closely supervised while wearing them) The feathers were well secured and I think only two fell out by the end of the performance (I think they may have had more than a little help from the wise men sitting behind her, who were quite fascinated by them!) I didn't make any adjustments to the elasticated straps, although I suppose they could have been a little bit tighter on her (she's a little bit smaller than an average 5 year old).I suspect this review sounds a bit gushy but I was genuinely surprised by the quality - If you've got children at a school where they do dress-up days (as I have) you will have seen some of the really shoddy, thin, nasty looking costumes that you can buy. These wings and halo are in a different category. If you're worried about what these are going to look like on your child - worry not! Your little angel will look adorable!

Ok so the wings are cheap and cheerful, they are probably better on young children as they were so small I could hardly see them on me. But it was only for NYE and a bit of fun. The Halo was excellent, and very sturdy.

Wore these on Halloween to a nightclubThe feathers had completely come off by the end of the night and simple left two cardboard winds on my back. Not impressedThe headband is also cheap, the sort of thing you'd find in the pound shop but it is relatively sturdy

The wings are smaller than I thought .would be ideal under 10 yrs

My daughter used these as part of her Hedwig costume and they were great. She has worn them on two occasions so far (once at a party) and they are still in good condition and look lovely!

Really bad quality, could only be used once then fit for the bin. Seller only sent the wings, no halo included. Seller only offered 30% refund despite not supplying 50% of what I ordered. All round terrible experience, I do not recommend. Poor customer service.

Perfect for what it was needed for, a nativity play. If you want a product with longevity this is not for you. By the end of the performance (plus one dress rehearsal) the wings have lost a substantial amount of feathers. However it looked the part long enough for what was needed.

I paid £4.60 which included delivery for these Angel Wings and Halo which I wanted for a fancy dress party, I didn't want to spend a fortune on a full costume or a hired outfit. I wasn't really expecting much but I was very impressed with the quality considering the low price. I only wanted to wear it once but I could definitely get away with a few more wears or pass it on to someone else. It fit me perfectly and I am an adult size 10/12 but it would be equally good on a smaller or larger person. The wings were real white feathers and although a couple came loose by the end of the evening but would easily stick back but it didn't detract from the look of the wings. I am very pleased with my purchase.
