Love the Disney Art of books that cover a lot of the behind the scenes and making of info in this book! Loved the art sketches and the thoughts and designs that went into the characters, town and storyline! Love it!

This book is more magnificent than words can explain. There are so many photographs, a lot of lore, so much story, and absolutely immaculate art.The book is thick so it will take you a while to get through it, which I love! It is so captivating that it will have you keep going back to it after that!The cover sleeve comes off to reveal a plain, black front with a debossed stamp of the classic guitars in the middle. The book is sturdy and durable with and without the cover. The book has some cool features as well, like pages folding open to reveal more artwork.I highly recommend this book!!

My first Pixart "Art of" book was for The Incredibles and, like many of Pixar's films, their art books have evolved. This particular book for the film Coco is especially insightful, but manages to transcend the typical behind-the-scenes art book. The passion for this project is evident as the reader will find full pages dedicated to reference photos that the artists took during their trip to Mexico. The culture wasn't simply researched for the sake of the film. The culture was entirely absorbed and assimilated into the film. There are dozens of pages filled with exploratory sketches for each of the characters be they principle or background crowd. Pixar is one of the few animation studios left that still do clay maquettes of their characters and these are present in this book. While I wish Pixar would include animation thumbnail sketches, X sheets, or even an image of the graph editor for a particular scene, there are several storyboard images that convey the formula and language of the film. Furthermore, there a couple of fold-outs that are meant to convey the color language of the film itself. Pixar is known for using color as another way to enhance tone and being able to see a compressed view really depicts how masterfully done this is.I cannot recommend this book enough. Coco is one of Pixar's finest films and this book pays a loving and passionate supplemental homage. It's a steal for the price.

I love the movie, Coco. I love the story, the setting, and the animation; so I when I found out there was a book about the art and the making of the movie, I had to get it. It's a great read if you want to learn about the art and inspiration in the making of the movie, and even learn a little more about Mexican culture and the Day of the Dead. I recommend for any art lover and fan of the movie.

this movie holds a special place in my heart so i might be a little biased but... i really like this book. there’s great color keys and character concepts and the backgrounds are just to die for in this movie, and i’m glad they included lots of information on them. not a lot of information on what’s going on in the pictures unlike of “art of” books, but you can tell very easily whats going on, i would just like more info on specific pieces. other than that, amazing book !!

My sister really loves this film, and is an artist so when this went ons ale I jumped at the chance to get it and she loved it. Definitely so nice to see all the artwork from the film and preproduction.

I absolutely love the visual style of both the movie Coco. I loved it enough to purchase this book. No hesitation. I was not disappointed. It’s a wonderful, beautiful, visually-appealing art book. I love love love it.

I absolutely love this book! As someone who shares the culture, Coco is one of my favorite Disney Pixar movies so I had to buy this. I also just loved everything about the movie, and it's so cool to see everything much more in depth.
