Amazing support and flexibility
This is the pregnant lady's snuggle pillow! My husband (I'm reviewing the pillow from his account as he ordered it) ordered this pillow for me based on the reviews and after looking at several pillows. I wanted one pillow so I would not have to move several pillows each time I moved at night. This pillow is perfect for me. I am 5' 7" and around 160lbs at the beginning of pregnancy. I believe the Snoogle will work for taller or shorter and heavier or lighter persons (my hubby likes it and he is much taller and heavier than I!). Perhaps, if you are very petite, this pillow may be too big or bulky for you.The pillow is supportive firm but still soft enough to be flexible and twisted into other uses. I was surprised that this is now my all around the house pillow for back support, lounging, and sleep. It can be twisted into a pile for leaning on, used in my prenatal yoga, used to elevate me at night when heartburn acts up, and, after baby is here, I think it will work just fine as back support and a breast feeding pillow especially when in bed. I like to use the long side of the Snoogle against my belly. The pillow is not too thick between my legs for leg support while sleeping (if you are worried about this, you can always pull it up to between your thighs or put your knees around the long side and your feet under the curl at the end for some support but not too much thickness). It is not too thick under my head and neck and is wide enough for neck and head support while sleeping (and I have a long neck). I literally can curl up with this pillow and stretch out with it. However you like to sleep, this pillow helps you sleep comfy while dealing with the growing belly.Addtionally, this is not my first body support pillow. I have used basic body pillows, leg support pillows, and special neck and head support pillows for years due to neck and back issues. I do not like the basic body pillows. I was actually concerned to give up my usual leg support and special neck pillow and switch to this, but I was tired of adjusting the leg pillow and felt that it was no longer providing me the support I needed as my body grew. I immediately noticed a difference in my sleeping position and a decrease in my aches and pains upon receiving and using this pillow. My hips and legs align better and keep properly supported throughout the night. My back hurts less, my neck is more comfortable, and I do not need to adjust the pillow at night once I get comfortable and fall asleep. It did take a couple days or so to adjust to the Snoogle and find the best position for it and me, but that is normal with any new body support pillow. Now, I honestly think I will not go back after pregnancy to any other pillow. Also, my hubby loves it for several reasons. I toss and turn less at night than before the pillow. I settle into a sleeping position faster and sleep longer with the pillow. I do not evade his side of the bed! The Snoogle keeps me from shifting and moving across the bed. With the long side in the middle of the bed, he does not worry about bumping the belly while he sleeps even if the belly is near him. One night, he threatened to steal my Snoogle for himself, in fact, because he took a nap and discovered that it is an amazing pillow even for a big and tall guy!The only downside for me is the design of the pillow cover that comes on the Snoogle. (I considered giving 4 instead of 5 stars due to the cover that comes on the Snoogle.) I would recommend spending the bit more money for a zippered cover for the Snoogle. I really wish the Snoogle came with a zippered cover. The cover that comes with the Snoogle is nearly impossible to remove, and, once off, I cannot imagine getting it back on the pillow (I had a very hard time getting it partly off!). Imagine trying to get this entire pillow into a tight sock and then cuffing the sock over the end of the pillow--that would describe the cover on the pillow. The zippered pillow covers zip on and off with very little work to push the pillow into the ends. The zippered cover is pretty easy and only took me a few minutes at most to do. So, that is the downside--the extra cover is extra money.

Oh Snoogle, I don't know what I would do without you!
I really, REALLY wanted to be one of those moms-to-be who glows through her entire pregnancy. You know the type, with the perfect, round bump, rosy cheeks, who craves pickles and ice cream and runs around the house "nesting" in anxious anticipation of her little bundle of joy's arrival. I REALLY WANTED TO LOVE BEING PREGNANT.Well, I wasn't able to live up to that picture of pregnancy perfection (and really, who does?)... I'm more of the puking, raging, bumbling, miserable rhymes-with-witch kind of pregnant woman. You know the type, the sleep-deprived, overly irritable, bloated brain-dead zombie with leg and back cramps, and agita that won't quit. Up until I got my Snoogle, I EFFING HATED BEING PREGNANT.Now, I can't say that the Snoogle made me into the kind of mom-to-be I had dreamed of being, but it's made my life a whole lot less miserable. For one, I can finally sleep at night, and in a bed, too! Before, I got maybe three hours of sleep on the couch if I was lucky. It's great to be able to sleep in a real bed again, and honestly, it's only because of this big freaking pillow that I'm able to. I stayed at my mom's house two nights this past week without it and UGH! WORST. SLEEP. EVER. It's hard to explain this to someone who's not pregnant, but if you're reading this, I'm guess you are pregnant (or someone close to you is... someone close enough to you that you'd consider buying a $55 pillow because you care that much/really need to shut them up/miss the "trying" part of having a baby and hope this will do the trick, at least)... but pregnancy makes you NEED weird things. Me? I needed something bolstered up against my back. I don't know why. Basically I needed cushions to hug and or smother me to sleep. Well, Snoogle delivers a nice hug, without too much smother. It doesn't smother my husband in our queen size bed, neither, nor does it take up too much room so that he's forced to sleep elsewhere, which is (usually) a good thing. My cat, Pickles, also seems to have claimed part of it as her bed, so she's happy with it too. As if sleep isn't a good enough reason, the Snoogle also helps with the agita, as I can prop myself up a bit at night, and my restless legs can rest a little easier with the bottom part between my knees. I'm not the picture of pregnancy perfection, but I'm a lot less terrible to be around now that I'm rested and overall much more comfortable. While I can go on and on about the wonders of the Snoogle, I'll spare you. I will say, however, that YOU NEED TO BUY THE BETTER PILLOWCASE SEPARATELY. For the love of god, DO NOT FORGET TO BUY THE PILLOWCASE UPGRADE. You can find some good ones here: Snoogle Chic Jersey - Snoogle Replacement Cover with Zipper for Easy Use - Charcoal And yeah, they're another $25. For $55, you'd expect the actual Snoogle to come with a soft, easy to remove and replace cover, I mean it should! But it doesn't. As if babies don't cost enough as it is... Still, this is probably the best 80 bucks I'll spend during my pregnancy, especially considering I was on modified bed rest for weeks on end. After all, you really can't put a price tag on a happy, or at least less miserable, pregnancy.I love helping out others (especially moms-to-be!) with my experiences, so if you've found this helpful, please click yes below to let me know!
