The item fits, however it didn't come in a original package. It was wrapped in bubble wrap and looked used. I would like to know before I buy that an item is used or new. I'll keep it but feel somewhat cheated. M.A.

Great replacement skewer for my trainer. The original had to be cut down for a bike with smaller drop out so this is a replacement. It's steel and not intended to be light as it has to bear the weight of the bike and rider while in the trainer without bending.

Served it's purpose. I just needed the axle to fit on my specialized pitch, to a twist lock cycleops trainer.I don't do any hardcore riding so I don't know how it'll handle major downhill trails.I just wish it was black.Worth the price.

Easily breaks. I bought this to use on a second bike when using the bike trainer. Recently I moved and had the bikes attached to the back on my SUV. In the middle on the highway, the skewer snapped and my rear wheel fell off. I had to replace the back rim, tire, free wheel, and everything that went flying when the skewer broke. It cost me half the price of a new bike.

I got this to replace my missing bolt following a move. it was a little longer than I expected but since it has threads all the way through it was able to work for what I needed. It is starting to rust on the exposed thread so if you have to remove your will a lot you might have difficulty later on.

Good solid steel skewer for trainer use, however —I had to use a hacksaw and cut off about a 1/2 inch since it was a bit too long and not sitting properly in my trainer, after that all was well!

Had the rear wheel stolen off my bike. The newer replacement wheel had a bulkier nut & latch on the skewer. Would not fit the clamp in my Trek trainer. Ordered this one, and it looked exactly like the design from my original wheel. Fits in the trainer clamp perfectly. Happy, happy, happy to be training again, even though it's snow and ice outside. Seems well built -- all metal w/chrome finish.
