Need to fully wrap
As this tape is not self adhesive it needs to be fully wrapped around the item to be repaired as I could not get all the way around my car hose I could not use it, may be useful for another leak

Leak on soil pipe
I had a leak on the soil pipe which was driving me mad, I couldn't replace the pipe myself so used this instead, it's been months now and so far no leak. Brilliant

Excellent! I used this to repair a leaking hose pipe.
This tape is flexible, strong, waterproof and molds well to whatever shape you need for the repair. The leaking hose pipe now works like it was brand new!

Not up to the job
Sadly, this tape proved incapae of sealing the leaks in my hosepipe with water escaping between the overlaps or blowing up into bubbles before they burst. I will need to buy a new hosepipe!

Self sealing tape works brilliantly
I used this as a temporary fix in a leaking waste outlet. It’s no longer temporary as it has completely sealed the leak and is discrete to look at.

Not for water under pressure like hose pipes
I like the tape, easy to use, sticks to itself BUT I bought to repair a leak on a hose pipe… the water literally blew a hole in two layer thick silicone tape immediately.

did not work on car water pipe leak
I wrapped it 3 times around a metal pipe in the car that was leaking water, approx pinhead size, the water started leaking after running the engine for approx 3 minitues. a lot of money for something that isn't up to the job ! not really sure what else I would use it on either as it only sticks to itself not the substrate
