The Smurfs: The Legend Of Smurfy Hollow [DVD]

It's nice to see the 2D hand-drawn animation again, even if it also has some CGI sequences from the beginning to the end. (where Clumsy, Panicky, Hefty and Narrator Smurf were camping)Plus it is great to see Brainy and Gutsy sharing their lead roles, along with Smurfette in her supporting role.Oh and let's not forget the other characters including Papa, Lazy, Hackus and Vexy (who makes a scene cameo near the end), Vanity, the evil wizard Gargamel and his feline Azrael.The animation was smurfy, the story is really well adapted (even if it's slightly different from the Sleepy Hollow story, it had some few elements from it too) and the characters are great to see too.So overall, I'll recommend this to those who are a huge fans of those adorable little blue creatures living in their small mushroom houses.5/5

The Smurfs are great. If you are feeling down watch a smurf movie. Little blue elves that sing and are funny. They talk of the Smurfless Headsman and the horseless smurfsman and leap about in panic. It is funny and cheerful and I would recommend it.

I bought this for my granddaughterss, and the story concept of sleepy hollow, for a children's film I thought intriguing. The BIGGEST disappointment was how very short it was. I pre-ordered this with the Christmas Carol DVD, and on the basis of this DVD, I cancelled it with out hesitation. There seems to be far too many children's DVD 's flooding the market today capitalizing just on the name of popular characters ....alas this is just another one.

Really enjoyed the movie my 6 year old was really glad we bought it. Kept her occupied from start to finish.
