Aerotek 40V X2 Series Extendable Pole Hedge Trimmer, Machine only, Cordless, No Battery Included

Having recently purchased an Aerotek battery powered lawnmower I have now complemented it with the hedge trimmer, which uses the same battery. The main selling point of the trimmer for me was the extensible pole because I cannot reach the far side of my hedge with my existing (mains-powered) trimmer. The Aerotek does the job and works particularly well when used vertically to trim the face of high hedges. Working horizontally across the top of a deep hedge, however, note that the motor is in the head adjoining the cutting blade and the machine is very "business-end" heavy. The battery is no light weight either. To be honest, the shoulder harness is rather a waste of time and gets in the way because it is necessary to move the trimmer back and forth away from and towards the operator's body; fortunately the harness is easily removable. The trimmer cuts thin branches very quickly but it does occasionally jam on thicker ones and can be a little difficult to unjam, especially with the pole extended, if the branch thickness exactly matches the gap between the trimmer's teeth. That said, I am pleased with the machine and it is considerably easing my annual autumn task.
