The Biltong Man | Tasty Traditional Droëwors Sticks | High Protein Beef Snack | 1 Kg

Had a bit of a sweet taste to start off with compared to other droewors. Once I started eating it I couldn't stop. Very neat, and nice sized sticks to snack on. Will definitely buy it again.

A nice soft skin, lovely flavour and no grissely bits

Although the manufacturer is "The Biltong Man", this product is not biltong but is droewors i.e. dried sausage. It's a lightweight and long-lasting dried food which is ideal as a protein-rich food to be carried on multi-day hikes. Sometimes it's a bit tough and chewy, but that's the nature of dried meat products. Even so, it's easier to bite and chew than the average biltong.

Beautiful tasting. Had to hide the second bag as went through the first fat too quickly!

Thought I'd try a different company for a change. Considering how expensive these are I probably should have stuck with the ones I normally buy from amazon (unfortunatelyI fell for the packaging). I found the flavour a little bland but the biggest problem for me is the weird waxy residue left in my mouth after eating a few. I tried to put it at the back of my mind as these were not cheap. But unfortunately could only stomach half and had to bin the rest. Which was absolutely gutt wrenching chucking that in the bin. Im absolutely miffed at what it can be. The only thing I can think of is its the consistency of the fat content. And dont get me wrong i like fat content, especially for the flavour. But this is like lard.

I bought this thinking that for £27 it would be top tier quality, and the flavour is quite good, but some pieces contain hard bits of sinew which can't be physically chewed. I have to remove the hard bits from each mouthful.

Absolutely delicious

Very good product. I use it for travelling with. First order was found by family and only lasted 3 days. Had to order a second batch and lock it away until I travelled.

Die Wurst erinnert von der Konsistenz stark an Landjäger, ist vom Geschmack her aber um Längen besser. Auch wenn die Wurst sehr trocken wirkt ist sie weder zäh noch trocken sondern relativ saftig, was allerdings vom Fettanteil kommt, wie bei Salami. Als Snack für zwischendurch, bzw. Proviant für Wandertouren kann ich mir ein Paket dieser Würste gut vorstellen. Da hier allerdings (laut Packungsangabe) aus 200g rohem Fleisch 100g fertiges Produkt hergestellt werden, ist die Wurst sehr nahrhaft, macht also auch in kleinen Mengen schnell satt.Sehr lecker, werde ich definitiv wieder kaufen, wenn mein jetziger Vorrat alle ist.

Genau das, was ich lange gesucht habe.Wer auf luftgetrocknetes steht, sollte die Produkte von The Biltong Man unbedingt mal probieren!Habe nun schon verschiedene Marken getestet, aber diese sind mein absoluter Favorit!Bin mit der Konsistenz und dem Geschmack mehr als zufrieden.Keine überteuerte Massenware!! Ich finde, das schmeckt man auch.

Die Würstchen sind mir eine Spur zu weich. Und die Gewürzmischung ist sehr spezifisch. Aber nicht unangenehm. Ich würde es, glaube, nicht mehr bestellen.

Die Pakete wurden schnell versandt und püntklich geliefert.Der Geschmack ist typisch für Biltong, jedoch meiner Meinung nach nicht so köstlich wie von anderen Anbietern, die ich ausprobiert habe.Dennoch ist das Fleisch sehr geschmacksvoll und lecker. Außerdem sind die Biltong-Sticks recht fettig, nach ein paar Mal kauen bildet sich ein regelrechter Fettfilm auf der Zunge.Als Dörrfleisch hatte ich Biltong eher mager in Erinnerung.Für den Preis ein angemessenes Angebot, eine leckere Variante und perfekt für den kleinen Fleisch-Snack für zwischendurch.

Schon öfter gekauft, und werde es auch in der Zukunft gerne kaufen. Es schmeckt gut, sehr gute portion, einfach alles perfeckt.
