Illustrated Stories from Aesop (Usborne Illustrated Story Collections)

These stories are wonderful for young children, and this book has them all. Lovely illustrations. Usborne books are top quality and this one was a good price.

Lovely book.A great read for my grandsons

I bought this as a belated birthday present for my little sister as it's nice to have some storybooks and growing up, I had more than I could count!Having already bought her a book of fairytales, I decided to try something else and then came across Aesop. I remembered my mum reading these to me as a child from a book we had of Aesop's Fables and after seeing how beautiful the cover looked, (and the good reviews), I just had to buy it.Upon receiving it, I briefly flicked through and loved how all of the fables were divided into categories. I was glad that there were all of the ones I know best, (the Tortoise and the Hare, the Ant and the Grasshopper, the Boy Who Cried Wolf, the Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, the Fox and the Crow, etc.), as well as many others. I also love how the morals are included and are printed right at the end of each story.The illustrations are beautiful and it really is something to be treasured over the years.

Easy stories, well categorised, short enough for toddlers attention span. However would like a few more illustrations to engage the little ones for longer. comprehensive collection and good addition to kids library.

I find Usborne books very good quality & this one is no exception. I bought it second hand but the condition is excellent. The tales are well written & illustrated, I’m looking forward to sharing them with my grandchildren when they’re older

I've developed somewhat of an affinity to the Usbourne books. Having bought a few others from their series, i have always been impressed with the writing and illustrations they contain. The author conveys the narratives in a way that is descriptive but not convoluted. Furthermore, the books themselves are of a high quality and can withstand the rigorous handling that tends to occur when children read.For me though, the best thing about these books is that they can be used as bed time stories as well as being used for personal reading materials for the little ones.

My five year old son loves this book! The tales are beautifully retold & the illustrations are beautiful. A really enjoyable book to read together! I also love that it states the moral of the story at the end which is a nice way to prompt a discussion with the child.

Lovely illustrated book with wonderful teaching stories!!

Everything was fine.

I was very impressed of the packaging not only was it in an amazon package, but it was also wrapped in a clear bag for added protection. The book came very well protected and survived the mailing staff forcing it into my tiny mail box, instead of placing it in our parcel. When it comes to reviewing the book, it is excellent for my almost 5 year old. The book is smaller than expected and very cushioned, excellent for younger kids. It comes with a ribbon to save where you left off. The pages are very thick and the colors are very bright! The wording is simple for a child to understand. I love Usborne books!!

Good book. All these Usborne illustrated stories can be devided into into three categories: books with prevailing illustrations, books with moderate illustrations and books with less illustrations and more text. This one is the last one as there are pages where there is only text. So, according to the age of your kid, you can go for this or that illustrated stories book by Usborne checking it for the content on Google.
