Shadow Acoustic Guitar for Active Soundhole Pickup with Single Coil - Black

I didn't buy this from Amazon because another retailer had it for the same price and with quicker delivery. Unfortunately my first example was faulty, so was replaced. However, the second one is very impressive.The pickup is fairly easy to fit with a little patience and a small screwdriver - at some point I will get the end-pin jack fitted properly. On plugging in, I was initially disappointed with both the tone and the lack of volume, However, when I turned up the treble and mid frequencies, the volume and tone both improved significantly, and on adjusting the 'PARA MID' dial, an almost unbelievable acoustic sound was produced. This is fine for me at the moment as I use it through my amp, but may be a problem for those sharing amps with other players or running through a PA system. If this is you, you may have to invest in an external DI to give you the tone you need. But seriously, this has to be the best sounding mag pickup for under £150Bottom line = it works for me.EDIT 21/5/2017I've now used this a few times for live performances. It performs brilliantly through my amp, but even better through a PA as long as you have a decent sound tech. It was of course outdone by the Baggs M1 that I heard another performer using, but I thought it sounded better than a Yamaha under-saddle system that I heard afterwards. For the price, it still amazes me.
