Tips were the exact color needed. Installed easily on all tines. Also added to some side pieces. Had to hear in hit water and really push on extra points

Dishwasher is only a year old, but almost all the tines are showing rust on tips. Was shocked by price of new racks, so got these because they are made of rubber, not PVC. It took about 30 minutes to put them on. I used alcohol to clean the tines, then used olive oil to make installation much easier. I tried pulling one off after I put it on, and it didn't come off easily. This is good because the whole point is to get a water tight seal. I notice one tine was particular damaged on its post, so I simply cut the tips off four other caps, then basically covered the entire tine. These match really well and honestly look like OEM. Even if you have a brand new dishwasher, I would recommend getting these. Now time will tell how well they hold up, but I'm sure I've extended the life of the racks by doing this. These are so water tight, I see no need to apply any other chemicals to the tips. Oil olive is what we use for seasoning iron cookware, so I'm pretty sure that's the only additional thing you might want to do.

I’ve purchased this type of item directly from a hardware retailer in the past, they didn’t last. The fit and quality of these are much better. I am very pleased with my purchase.

They don't fit over tines that have already "bloomed" a bit on the top with rust regardless of heating nibs in hot water. They need to be more "elastic" in makeup. Do not recommend unless you apply them before you see rust forming ie: as soon as you get a new machine.

Not all same size or length. They come off when taking dishes out of the rack. Need to be careful and watch.
