These are good scales. They do what they say they are going to do. I had electronic scales before that fluctuated so wildly every day that I was close to giving up on them. I bought this because I wanted something reliable. The scales are solid, good quality and look good. They are heavy weight which is also reassuring. However as my bathroom is tiny, I have to pull them out every day and slide them back away. This means I have to recalibrate each time I use it. Not a biggy. Also I do struggle to read the scales, as I am tall and the dial, although magnified is not super easy to read. I would recommend them if you are doing a programme that involves daily weigh ins, ideally use somewhere you don’t need to move them a lot.

I chose this scales, one, as its a Salter and have been in the business longer than I have been around and two, its the same type my GP uses. He is always harping on about my weight, so I can check it as accurately as he can.The good thing is the dial is easy to read without my glasses on. Its also a stable reading when you stand on it, unlike some in the past which wobble about.

Having once had a digital scale, which was small, hard to balance on and had a reading that wavered about and hard to read, I liked the look and bought this SalterSo glad I did. It does it perfectly. Easy to stand on and easy to read (in stones or Kg). I've had no problem with the setting that some have had. Once set it stays there over and again.Love it. Quality machine and excellent value.

Terrible, I weighed myself 4 times within half an hour , and I somehow went from 13st to 17st !! Obviously not possible, will stick to the gym scales, waste of money

I have had a 3 digital bathroom scales all evetually die. I have had to replace batteries more often than I would have liked. One of them never connected to bluetooth. I was occasionally overjoyed with my weight loss but still felt the same heaviness, eventually finding that the digital scale was off. SOOO, I bought this. No Battery, sturdy, and if you are ok with being within about 3 or 4 kgs as it fluctuates as you are standing on it - take the average I think, then this is ok. Not great, but if you get it on sale for around £13 like I did then it is ok value. Don't expect this to be like the one your mom had back in the '60s or 70's when mechanical scales where not made so cheaply and when they actually were accurate.... Oh well, we are waiting for the big comet in the sky anyway aren't we? Eat and be merry for tomorrow we die!
