Great for the price
Worked well and very stable.Used to clone old hard drive 256GB, took 15mins.Tool free, just clip in or slide out. There are small pins provided to hold ssd inside. It's nearly the same with most or all of these enclosers is no real heat sink.Given the price, this works well and feels and looks nice. The provided USB lead is very short, but I have a box full of them anyway.

Quality SSD enclosure
Handy little enclosure for all those spare NVME drives you have lying around.Easy to install a drive without tools. You don't need screws as small press in standoffs are supplied. The case does not act as a heatsink but it is possible to add heatpads to the top of the drive before sliding it in the case.Fast USB3.1 speeds. Short USB C cable included.Very good build quality and durable finish.Well worth the price

Light and Screw Free. And a spare USB to USB C data Cable
Works perfect. I wanted a NVMe external enclosure, Also a USB to USB C data transfer cable. I found this. It had both. Now I have a spare Data cable. Also I like the screws free, For those reviewers who didn't look/It comes with 2 round black plastic plugs with a slot. You push the SSD into the slot. Push th e into the plug slot then push tje plug into the hole Works perfect for me

Simple to use
It got surprisingly hot. It was very easy to install the M2 device, and to show that it was the M2 that was faulty. It is elegant, easy to use, and a good purchase.

Not tool free
It says tool free, but only if you want your drive loose, no mounting screw inside to secure it..

Not Reliable, Poorly Implemented Electronics
So here is the ONLY good thing about this NVMe M.2 Adapter - It is Small & Light Weight.Okay, now on to all of the bad things, Starting with the least worst issue....1• The SSD Securing Mechanism is designed to be used only two or three times before needing to be replaced, and the box only includes a single spare "split-pin" securing pin, so expect to only be able to use this product maybe 10 times before you'll need to create your own solution to secure the SSD.2• The SSD Securing Mechanism is close to impossible to release without fully deconstructing the adapter and forcibly removing the PCB from the plastic SSD carrier sled, I had to use thick and very strong Steel prying tools to release the clips holding the PCB in place, then, I had to use my watchmakers friction-lock tweezers to pinch the sides of the split-pin that secures the SSD in place from underneath.3• This SSD Adapter is the most unreliable piece of modern technology that I have ever owned, it took me weeks to work out what was causing my Operating System Installations to corrupt and nuke themselves, and, when being used to store files work out what was corrupting my files, at first I thought it might have been the SSD itself, so then I started testing with 3 other brands of M.2 NVMe SSD's using 4 different controllers in total and 3 different types of NAND Flash Manufacturers. This SSD Adapter wasted my time, ruined Windows, Linux, &, BSD installs, corrupted my files, and made me lose some data that I had created on the drive and hadn't yet backed up.I highly advise against buying this product, it will cause you frustration, it will corrupt and lose your data.If I could have I would have rated this a solid 0/10 product, it isn't even fit for use.
