Great Value
Very comfortable and a good fit. They seem very well made and have proven to be waterproof. I would definitely recommend them.

Very comfortable
Boots fit well but the first day or so don't tighten too much at the top and allow them to break in. I use them to walk the dogs in the woods and over the past two weeks that I have had them they have stayed waterproof. As of writing 24/09/24 we have just gone through some of the worst wet weather this year and they have held up well. I would suggest they are more of a late autumn\winter boot as they are very warm and I would suspect your feet would get very hot with these in the summer. The grip is pretty good but not 100% as dogs charging after squirrels have nearly had me off my feet in the slop... but to be fair 99% of people won't have that issue

So comfortable but questionable if waterproof
Bought these boot in November for use as a vehicle valeter, when I recieved them I couldn't believe how we comfortable they were, and STILL are, some days I put them on at 7am and they don't come off until 5 maybe 6pm, my feet don't hurt and generally the laces stay tied (double knot).Obviously I bought these as they're sturdy and claim to be waterproof, working in and with water a lot, not every day, they've certainly helped keep my feet dryer but they certainly aren't waterproof, I'd say water resistant, so if you are needing them to be WP treating them would be my advice. As you can see after 3 months the fabric is starting to fail due to the repeated exposure to water and probably chemicals would have liked them to last probably 6 months but I'll wear them until they're not useable so we'll see.

Pleasant surprise
Ordered these boots, they arrived in great time .From box, immediately felt a little large. Insoles sorted thatThereafter very comfortable to wear, great sole grip, sturdy laces and lacing. Seem waterproof tooOnly slight issue, for me is that they are warm , great, ideal possibly for Scottish winter , but not ,in my opinion for summer. All round great value for money ...would buy again.

Comfortable and durable
Bought this for my Iceland trip with hours of walking. Passed the test well. It’s warm, comfortable and weather resistant. The soles are ok, but you need to be careful on icy surfaces.

Disappointing boots
I bought these boots expecting them to do everything they are advertised to do. They are reasonably comfortable, but I found that when I wore them in the summer, there was a lack of breathability in the boot, so my feet got uncomfortably hot. I have worn the boots quite a few times now and several times in wet weather. Both times when the ground has been wet underfoot and raining, I have returned with wet feet. The boots are NOT waterproof in anyway and therefore falsely advertised. I would never buy another pair again and am disappointed I have wasted my money on them. It's only right to review a product after having the chance to wear them several times, which is why I have written this now, unfortunately now I can't claim any money back, but I would advise others to look at other products if you are after a waterproof boot!!

So far so good. Decent value for the money
Please noteThe photos were taken on a Green Recycling Bin so you can judge the green colour of the boots. I like the colour.I see all clothing sizing as a bit of a lottery and just a number or letters on a label. So I strongly suggest you measure your foot/feet and use the sellers provided size chart. I found it SPOT ON even though the suggested size is bigger than I would normally go for. I also picked the Wide fit . The boots were a great comfortable fit out of the box and I have worn them for long periods every day since with no complaints. The reduced price and the 20%off voucher made it almost rude not to try them. Really good decision, but as I said: so far so good.3 months on: Boots have been in daily use and are still good in all areas apart from one. Walking the dogs on the wet grass / fields is leaving me with damp socks. Disappointed. So they have lost a star for that. But I won't be throwing them away as I like everything else about the boots and they are so comfortable.

Great boots
Great boots. Nice fit, bought the wide and it was enough for my Daisy Duck feet. In fact they were big enough that I even put an extra pair of cushy insoles in. If you buy the wide, you might consider buying a half size smaller. They are roomy and comfortable and good on snow, water resistant and warm and decently grippy on the sole. I love them, and they are a reasonable price.

Immediate comfort
Out of the box the Nortiv 8 hiking boots fit better than I had hoped. Over the years I’ve worn out many different brands of hiking boots, some, of course, better than others. And more expensive. My latest light hikers, Mont Belle ,would still be in use now except that after so many years of hard abuse they kinda fell apart and I didn’t feel right filing a warranty claim. So I shopped around looking for something comfortable, durable, and that wouldn’t leave me barefoot in the national park. Found the Nortiv 8 with “wide” option, read the reviews and took a chance. Gotta admit, the price was attractive too. When I received the boots USPS, I inspected their construction, scrutinized them from heel to toe. There is lots of stitching where many competitors are just gluing. It is usually only on boots costing twice as much that you start to see this kind of construction. Many of my previous hikers fell apart as a result of sole adhesives letting go. It’s so annoying. My personal feeling is that I get longer wear from stitched uppers as opposed to reliance on glue alone, which always seems to be where boots fail. And there are limits to what a shoe glue repair can do.As for the Active 8 boots in the field, they were immediately comfortable, required no break-in period, and felt like old friends back on a familiar trail together. I had no rubs, no blisters, and no irritations whatsoever. There is room for an insert, but that doesn’t seem necessary. I fully expected these boots to “ fail” their inaugural hike and need to be returned. In that regard I was surprised and wrong. They were great. As an observation, they don’t seem to breathe well, but it’s a small consideration that can be easily overcome by slightly loosening up lacing while hiking. I’m not complaining. I mourn the demise of my Mont Belles, but in the Active 8s I have found what I believe to be well made and comparable boots at suitable retiree pricing. Only time will tell if these boots will be durable and live up to their predecessor. But I think I’ll likely wear out before these boots do.If you’re searching for quality without compromise, at an affordable price, the Active 8 boots might be where your search ends. Take these out on your next walkabout. You’ll see.
