Shower Enclosures UK Replacement Traditional Ceramic Toilet Cistern Lever Flush Handle Chrome Detailing

Was a bit hesitant in purchasing this having read reviews that gave a low rating as the item received was different to that pictured. (Is this another example of reviews being set against random items as has happened to some of my reviews?). The item I received is exactly as decribed and of a much better quality than the cheap original installed by a local plumber where the plastic handle sheered off after less than 2 years occasional use. Was very easy to instal but slightly irritated that, because of the shape of the square hole for the spindle the handle sits at the "10 past" position rather than the horizonal "quarter past". However rather than fiddle about adding bit of wire to extend the hook fixed to the plunger to achieve the, in my OCD view, correct angle, I'll live with it. A solution would be for the centre hole to be octagonal to allow more choice of angle but we can't have everything, apparently. Overall a vast improvement to the appearance of the cistern.

I ordered two of these because of they were longer in length than most of the others offered for sale. Also the weight states 322g and I have weighed one of them and it only weighs 176g each. They don't have a bulbous end neither - they are dead straight. I rang the company who delivered them( Liberty Kitchens 29 Salisbury Road Totton Southampton) and was told "they have changed the style and these are the only ones available now. The quality is very good just not big enough. ' Why haven't the details changed on Amazon then !!!!!!

This is a nice enough product, but it's not what's shown in the pictures.It doesn't have the curved bulged shape. There's no washer, and mostly it's smaller all round than the dimensions given.I would have returned it, but it turns out not only do I have to pay the £3 return postage, but I'd also have to make a special journey to the post office. Not worth it for a £9.82 product.Very disappointing!

The handle itself looks great, however the white plastic v-shaped wedge that goes inside the cistern, is noticeably shorter than my previous white plastic v-shaped wedge, and therefore the cistern fills up with less water, and when you flush the toilet, it doesn't flush for as long. Consequently, there are occasions when the toilet needs to be flushed twice, whereas previously it wouldn't have needed to be flushed twice. But it's a minor gripe, just a good job we're not on a water meter.

Very good. The only slight issue was that out loo cistern is curved, so I had to reuse the curved spacer part of the old handle to fill the gap. It fitted perfectly, but please bear this in mind if you don’t have an existing handle.I also had I cut down the square shaft as it was a bit too long, but that was easily done with a hacksaw.Quality and aesthetics are good and I expect it should last a while.

We've just finished our bathroom refit and wanted something to to make the old crappy council installed loo with its cheep flaking silver paint handle. Well this has boosted it no end and makes it look like something Hyacinth Bucket would be proud of.

Works well now but I did have to wrap some wire around it in order to stop the extra play in the handle. You get what you pay for. The handle it self feels nice but a bit of a let down. Happy with it now I sorted it. I’m sure some folk might be left with a useless handle if not sure how to fix the play issue.

Original cistern lever broke due to snapping of metal casting. Looked at big name suppliers who we bought bathroom off & they wanted in excess of £25 for the same item. Found this one on Amazon, checked dimensions & realised it is the exact same item. Arrived today & it is exactly as per the picture (was a worry based on previous comments), is nice & heavy, well made, a super finish & not flimsy at all. Fitted it in 5 mins without changing anything (bar is a little on long side but if needed it could easily be shortened though I didn't have to). Perfect & worth so much more than listening to the sales drivel at the showroom!
