The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún Vol. 4

I continue to love this fantasy manga series. It is just so different both in art and story than many other fantasy manga series. This book is an excellent continuation of this mysterious fairy-tale like story.In this volume Shiva and Auntie return to Teacher. Auntie reveals Shiva’s past to Teacher. Shiva, Teacher, and Auntie finally come to terms and try to live as a cohesive family. However, those that are cursed have a horrible fate in store for them and Autie is not immune to it.I love the drawing style of this manga series. It manages to be simple, unique and very detailed all at once. It’s incredibly creative and supports the story beautifully.The story presented here is unique and engaging and I am always completely drawn into these volumes. My whole family (including 11 year old son) has been reading this series and enjoys is.Overall an amazing continuation of this beautiful and unique fantasy manga series. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

~4 StarsBoth Teacher and Shiva's Aunt seem to want what's best for Shiva, and thus they're both very distrustful of each other. Shiva's Aunt reveals how she came upon Shiva, but then the curse seems to be working on her differently than we've seen at this point, though that might be explaining some things as well.It seemed like Shiva was getting a larger group, getting to form a family, but that seems too hopeful now.This series is still very strong for me, and getting deeper.

I love this series. I was emotional invested in the relationship between the main characters from the first panel on the first page.

This is a gift. Just looked at one of the books and unlike American books, this reads from the "back" forward. It is written in comic book format, but is readable and is what I was asked to get as a gift.

Once I read the first book I was hooked and bought the next 3 volumes right away. I do not regret it in the slightest. I love how sweet but believable Shiva is and how her enigmatic "teacher" is a harmless monster who can barely bake a pie. Plus the art is lovingly detailed.

I'm sure I bought this new but the back of the book got dog eared somehow, probably some shipping incident but still bummed me out since I have a growing collection of the series. Overall, came quickly and the book itself is a continuation of an awesome story full of beautiful and horrifying artwork!

There are so many reveals in this volume it was a wonderful page turner. I froze a few times unable to believe what i was reading. The aunt has a much bigger role in this volume and it was amazing to see. The story has grown massively and is both heart wrenchingly sad as well as gorgeously drawn. A series I do not regret getting into.

The story slows down in this volume and I love that we get to spend some time with Auntie, Teacher, and Shiva as a 'family'. Never before has a comic, GN, or manga, managed to convey as much emotion and drama for me as this manages. I am so intensely invested in both Teacher and Shiva, and can't wait to see where the story goes next!

I love this manga series, the art style is so beautiful and it has a captivating story line.I was just disappointed that when it arrived, the cover had been bent as whoever packed it hadn't taken much care.Other than that I am so pleased with this manga!

One of my other half’s favourite Manga series.The story and illustrations are beautiful.

The manga arrived today, unfortunately with some minor damage on one corner of the front cover to it. The package had been taped shut from what looks like a tear, I believe it may have been an overloaded package; because they put 6 mangas in one envelope package. None of the other 5 were damaged, and none were missing! The tape held tight.As for the book itself, an amazing story! The cover is beautiful! I don't normally deal with stories that are more emotional, outside of cosmic horror, fictional stories. But this story has really gotten to me. I want to keep going with every page to know more even though I must stop. I can't wait to read the next one!
