Excellent for frying in little oil. Unbelievably easy to clean.
After 3 months this is still my favorite skillet ever. The ceramic finish is slippery and smooth allowing you to brown fish and non fish in the same pan without mixing flavors. Nothing sticks in any annoying way. This is not for high temp cooking. Eggs are cooked with a little oil and turn over easily. But removing an easy-over egg results in a little sticking, the reason for a 4 rather than a 5. I wish I had bought the set with lids. Cleaning is dreamy. A paper towel is perfect for cleaning. Use a little suds as often as you think is necessary. It is advertised as dishwasher safe but I am so protective of the finish that I wash it and season with a little oil as you would with a cast iron skillet. The pouring lip on both edges makes it easy to pour liquids from the skillet. I give Flamekiss as gifts and my girlfriends love it too.

Strong performance at the price point; thoughtful design; long wear
We have a fairly unusual perspective for this review, in that we currently own two of these pans: one new, another purchased from Amazon two years ago. I was offered the new one for an impartial review, and while I'm not usually a fan of solicited reviews, I realized I was probably in a good position to say something useful in this case.First things first. Non-stick pans are never a "buy it for life" proposition. Those with that expectation are bound to be disappointed; and going by the negative reviews you'll see of almost any product in this category, those are typically the same people who think non-stick cookware should stand up to any kind of abuse and shrug it off. Here's a more realistic perspective: a well made non-stick pan should produce a lot of easily cooked meals before it needs to be replaced, and it should be fairly simple to care for. What constitutes proper care of a nonstick pan? Don't overheat it; use only plastic, wood or silicone utensils, never metal; hand wash gently with soap and a cloth, never scrubbing; protect it during storage so hard metal objects won't get stacked directly inside. That's about it. We sometimes put a couple of drops of vegetable oil on a paper towel and leave that in the pan for storage. As you'll see in the attached photo, through two years of heavy use (probably close to 400 meals), the surface has remained utterly smooth and uniform. There are no cracks, no areas where the nonstick surface has worn through, no discolored areas. It's not as shiny as it was new, and some of that can be accounted for by simple wear, but the use of oil in the pan has probably also "seasoned" it, making it visibly duller. By way of comparison, the new pan is somewhat slipperier in use than the 2 year old one. But the latter still does the job. In my estimation it has worn very well, especially considering what it cost to begin with.Three useful design features:1. A vented, fitted lid is included. (Because of the way the item is boxed, you have to remove the lid handle and re-attach it on the other side before use.)2. Both sides of the pan have subtle spout-contours which allow you to safely pour off fluid with the lid on. Very handy for draining grease after browning meat.3. The base of the pan is sculpted in a way designed to keep a pocket of heated air distributed evenly over the bottom surface. We have found it certainly works well over a gas stove; I expect it would work equally well over an electric burner. This is not expensive cookware. If you like to think in amortized terms, it costs less than a dime per meal prepared. It's well designed, and a good value.

Coats starts out amazing, but does *not* last
Update Oct 2017: Amore stands behind their products and not only offered to help me attempt to remedy the issue myself when I contacted them directly, but emailed me regarding my review. Their suggestions did not remedy the issue, but they replaced the pans. At the least, they doubled the usable life of the product for me for the original purchase price, so I am increasing the review to 3 stars and will see how the replacements perform. We've had the same experience of really wanting to like this, but it not living up to any reasonable standard. The coating starts out amazing, but does not last, even though we babied them -- only hand washing with a rag or hand, and never harsh utensils. Further, we always use some type of butter or oil when cooking. I don't understand the glowing reviews unless the majority are people who haven't used them for very long. I'm at a loss regarding the person saying they've used these pans for 2 years and they still look brand new. I just don't see how it's possible. We purchased two sizes of this pan and both are experiencing burn spots, where the coating has come off over time. The pan that was used more is worse and on the verge of being thrown away, so both pans went the same path. It isn't an isolated experience. I was hoping we found the answer to our search for a safe pan when I found this, but apparently not.
