Works as needed. I told my daughter that once she started putting her face in the water, I would get this for her. She needed 5 minutes into her lesson to start putting her face in the water; she immediately asked after class if we could buy this item. So, my almost 4 year old had a blast playing in the hotel pool with it! Great gift.

This is a valuable and durable toy for the pool and swim lessons! It is a great size to pack with you for trips and vacations! The color is great for them to find at the bottom of pool because sometimes it does come up. This provides lots of play time and fun for my kids in the pool!

My three year-old loves this toy in the bathtub or at the pool. It’s really neat how the little mermaid swims to the surface. I highly recommend this for any little girl in your life.

Super cute and fun toy, my small kids can figure out how to put Ariel in the shell and sink it. It opens every time, and she swims to the surface. Only issue is the paint scratches off and comes off easily if she’s scratched on the concrete at the bottom of the pool or pool deck.

The media could not be loaded. My toddler is absolutely obsessed with this and frankly so am i! It works amazingly and has worked every single time. Its easy enough that my two year old can do it unassisted aswell. Very well made product. Must have this summer!

Put the mermaid in the shell as it is supposed to fit, let it sink, the shell pops open, and up floats the mermaid. Both of my children play with this in the bath. My daughter is nervous about losing it so we haven’t taken it to a pool yet.
