Intriguing Story about Wands, Great Wood Carving Starter Kit
I would highly recommend the Wandmasters kit to anyone that is interested in trying out wood carving/whittling, especially if they are fans of Harry Potter. The extra details and symbolism gave the whole wand-making experience a sense of old-school mystery and wonderment, and most importantly, fun! I am curious to see what other products will be launched from this company and how they will expand on the story. This was my first experience using a wood finish/varnish and beeswax sealant, and it really changed my perspective on what is possible with wood. Adding this step really highlights the character of the wood in a pleasant way, giving the final product a more refined and polished look. I used the Light finish in the photos, can’t wait to try the Dark finish for the next wand. I would love to buy a ’Potionmasters Kit’ with various wood finishes (hint hint!).This is a unique and engaging item - I will definitely be gifting a kit to my friends that enjoy Harry Potter or that enjoy working with their hands.

Create some MAGIC ! Good for couples gift or have two wands for yourself !
The media could not be loaded. I'm in love with this set ! Comes with everything needed to make my own wand. I'm a photographer and I have a hard time looking for wand props that are high in quality and are sold at a reasonable price. This is can all be customizable and much cheaper since you end up with two wands. I'm glad that it comes with two pieces of wood since my partner and are able to make a wand with just ONE kit !! Definitely worth buying for yourself and a gift others. If you're into magic, woodworking, or those who love unique items. Arrived quickly and undamaged ! I will post some pictures and video soon

Great wand kit
I love this my oldest son has been helping me make a wand and as a Harry Potter lover I could not be more excited to do this with him. The kit has everything that you will need and the instructions are very simple.

All of that being said...
I like the fact that this diy kit has almost everything you need to make your own custom wand. The pictures I've included are before/after images of the wand I've made my wife for Valentine's Day this year. The Also, with my lady's permission, I drilled out the grip and filled it with the ashes of a family member she really loved and capped it with transparent blue resin. Back to this kit; only drawback is the planer included was a major headache. It didn't matter how shallow I set the blade or if I went with or against the grain; it ALWAYS got hung up on the wood blank. I ended up using my carving knives, chisles, and my rotary. I'm happy with the end result, but it took a lot longer than anticipated. (the wand "core" is a piece of clear quartz wedged in and secured with epoxy resin). All of that being said; its worth the purchase if you're willing to put in the time. P.S: I used a butane torch to do all the black you see on it.
A**!
For Children Who Can’t Even Make the Thing Themselves!
Holy MOLY what a frustrating time. As a man who doesn’t believe in wizarding magic, I can safely say that this is 100% a waste of time and it physically (and psychologically) hurts to be put in the unfortunate position of making these ‘wands’ for credulous little children.Someone introduce these people to reality!

This kit takes you on a fantastic and magical journey.
I like all things magic. I like Harry Potter. I really like anything that involves making things. This wand making kit was a must try for me despite no knowledge of woodworking and little idea about wand making either! However, when the kit arrived - the box has a presence that in itself provides a moment of wonder. It is a real gift, whether for yourself, or your favorite HP fan, this is a must try. I don't mind admitting that because of my lack of experience I read my way through and contemplated the detailed instructions before so much as getting anything out of the box. The hand held plane, the two pieces of white oak. I put them on my desk and thought for a long time about what I was about to do before even beginning. Eventually I sharpened the blade and tentatively placed it back in the block. This was in itself a little time-consuming but I felt free from the burdens of my phone and other devices. In fact as I started the process of planing the edges of the first piece I was at first frustrated, then enthralled, then once again frustrated to the point of stopping. After an hour or so I found my way back and started again, this time feeling the plane in my hand a little more and finding just the right angle. it took a few goes, some frustration, some moments of absolute elation when it was going well and gradually my wand began to form itself. I think with this kit you must expect to be both frustrated and elated as you learn to be at one with the tool and work the wood carefully and slowly. It took me at least three goes at the planing part to realise that this was a journey not a paint by numbers toy. As I moved from plane to sandpaper and then to finishing ( beeswax for me) I became enthralled and amazed at the journey and while I sit here writing with my finished wand on the table, contemplating my next attempt and maybe who I should give this to I can only ask where am I going to get the third piece from? A wonderful experience. Thank you for the journey Wandmaster's.
