Yes! Yes! Yes!!!
I'm new to truffles, but as far as I can tell, this has the strongest & most pleasant REAL truffle aroma of any "grocery" products (as opposed to what might be available in a high-end restaurant). I've been hearing about truffle oil for years, but when I started looking into the ingredients recently, it seems almost all of them are olive oil + artificial flavoring, which is not what I wanted my first truffle experience to be. Also, the oil itself is a wild card--it can go rancid or be bitter. Ghee doesn't go rancid, is never bitter, and has a superior mouthfeel, so I thought had a chance of being a much better flavor carrier than oil. And this has real truffles!I bought a couple fresh truffles, but the flavor is kind of weak, and I prefer the ghee.A friend said truffle oil has a more concentrated flavor than this ghee, but it's not as pleasant. They've also had truffle honey, so we used a fresh truffle to make some, then mixed in truffle ghee to increase the flavor. This honey butter is VERY good with cheese! We tried it with goat cheese, brie, manchego, havarti, aged gouda...wow!This ghee is fabulous on steaks and potatoes. I like to use it sparingly so I don't get it with every bite...then those bites when I do get it make my eyes roll back in my head! Here's my unsophisticated description: when I open the jar, the aroma reminds me of roasted garlic; the flavor reminds me of cooked (not marinated) artichoke hearts. There's even a sweet aftertaste at the back of my throat, exactly like artichokes. I thought the flavor would be very mushroomy & earthy, but it's "greener" (like broccoli stalks, maybe?) and brighter than I expected. I absolutely love it; can't wait to get some extra jars for gifts! Also, compared to other products (truffle cream, pesto, sauce, oil, etc) , I think it's a fabulous value--more truffle flavor per dollar, and no fillers or scraps.

Great !
I have been using Gourmet Ghee Company for about a year and I'm very pleased with the amount of light but not overpowering flavor it adds to French fries and Spaetlze - German egg dumplings (Yummy!) It melts easily and keeps well in the refrigerator and I'm always happy when asked what that superb flavor I've used with dishes. A wonderful product to buy for any kitchen.

A happy purchase
I like the flavor, it reminds me garlic. I did expect it to have a saltiness to it but it doesn't. I paired it with some truffle infused salt that I have and used on my steaks we cooked for the 4th. Turned out pretty darn good. Currently I'm choosing to store it in the refrigerator although I know it doesn't require it. And I plan on searching out some more recipes to use it in, because I want to broaden my catalog.

Flavor Bomb
I was at first skeptical, after reading that the truffles used in this product were American and not of European origin, and "truffle flavouring" was also in the list of ingredients, never a good thing. One taste, however, slathered on hot, crusty country bread, embellished with a few crystals of Maldon salt, and my skepticism dissolved. A very impressed treat worth the price! Whether the truffle slices in this product would meet the requirements of a 3-Star French chef, is perhaps unlikely, but to my less demanding palate, I was enchanted and plan to re-order more in the near future (only in the larger jar available.)

Good and bad
Ordered 2 jars. I like the jar that made it to me intact. One jar was wrapped in bubble wrap, but completely crushed and leaking out. I believe this is more on the packers at Amazon than the maker of the product. The jar that made it to me whole was full to the brim. Basted some steaks with it and they were delicious. Odor does does come across as synthetic while cooking, but the meal was amazing.

Just the Truffle Taste I was Looking For!
Years ago I had some black truffle butter which was fantastic and I wanted some more but came across this product, positive truffle lover reviewers really influenced my decision to get this product. This ghee is AMAZING, one review said it's life changing...and it is. BTW it makes frozen White Castle sliders taste like gourmet!

Not for me
Not sure if it is the product or just my taste buds, but I didn't like the smell or taste of this product at all. It's probably just a me thing, but I couldn't even stand to smell it. I won't say it's a bad product because personal preference varies from person to person. I'll just say, not for yours truly. I gave it 3-stars out of respect for a product that is well made, but just didn't tickle my personal fancy.
