Once washed and dried the socks are a good quality soft sock that will last quite a while. If you have to wear them before you can wash them, flip them inside out. The best result I had was machine washing and drying, which resulted in a midweight very soft cotton sock that was very comfortable all day.This is the first time I've tried compressed socks. I'm impressed.Prior to running a pair through the washer and dryer, the socks felt like almost like stiff nylon dress socks. I was more than a little underwhelmed at that point. They were much better when I flipped them inside out. Still underwhelmed, but workable. After wearing them for a couple of hours, I rinsed one sock and hand washed the other. They were significantly better, softer and fluffier. So I machine washed and dried a pair. This pair was better than a lot of my socks (softer, cushy, and very comfortable). I was very surprised and impressed.My guess is that similar to compressed towelettes that need water to expand the fibers, the compression flattens the cotton fibers while allowing the elastic fibers to stretch. Once they've been washed and dried, the cotton fibers fluff back up making them very soft. So, there's a huge comfort benefit to thoroughly rinsing or washing and drying these socks.I would definitely recommend these socks. The compressed puck is super small, the socks themselves are easy to wash and dry with (or without access to a machine), the socks are good quality and will last. I'm impressed.

The socks are actually really comfortable. The are light weight.i love love that the come vacuum sealed and easy to carry camping fishing hiking or even to the gym. Easy from going to sandals to sneakers . If your outdoor and traveling this year get you a pack most handy socks ever

Lose one star because they are a bit short but they make great emergency socks. They are a single use item for sure. Put them on the boat or in camper just in case and you are set.

What a great find! Each of these little tiny pods turn into a PAIR of regular sized socks! These are amazing for camping or traveling. They’re really comfortable and soft even after being squished into a tablet. They also fit great! They’re a lot thicker than I thought they would be. They’re comparable in quality to a pack of socks you can get at the store. As you can see in the picture the material is great quality and not one bit see-through. I would give these more than 5 stars if I could!

I am really shocked at these socks! These little tiny compacted wheel balls turned into a brand new, clean and ready to wear pair of socks! The socks are full size despite the tiny ball they come in. The material is very soft and comfortable, and the fit was perfect for me (size 6 shoe). These socks do stretch for larger feet, as my boyfriend tried a pair on as well.The material feels breathable, as they keep my feet cool rather than causing them to sweat. The seamless toes are so comfortable, I don't feel the need to keep re-adjusting my socks before putting shoes on.The top of the sock holds tightly to the leg and they DO NOT fall down! The socks appear to have a very dark floral pattern on them, which I believe is not a pattern at all, and just the way the sock looks from being compressed into a ball.I have had quite a few times that I was running errands, and stepped my shoe right into a mud-puddle. Throw one or two of these in your glove box and never worry about being stuck with soaked socks, or toss these in your suitcase to travel with!!

How much room can you really save by having compressed socks? And how good can they be? I am a cynic, and thought these would be more to amuse the kids on the trip than for me to actually use. I was wrongWell, when I received the box, I was surprised at how little room 20 pairs of socks could take (I even took a picture it surprised me so much). Each sock puck is only 3 finger-widths in diameter, and they unfold easily. The resulting socks look a bit weird and patchy, since they are wrinkled and shiny in places. I carefully stretched and rubbed them around, and they still looked a little mottled, but they felt really nice.When I put them on I was even more surprised. They don't *feel* like what you'd expect from compressed anything. They are perfectly normal, soft, stretchy socks. I couldn't feel any odd bumps or anything.These look and feel exactly like all my other everyday black ankle socks! Fluffy and sturdy and good. Certainly NOT disposable quality!I suppose I could get uncompressed socks a touch cheaper, but these really are good socks!!
