I bought the Ring camera because I had been thinking for a long time that I needed some security on my front porch. The price was right and I am glad I did it. Even though I have a wired doorbell, I decided it was easier just to get one with wi-fi. My brother came for Christmas and I asked him to install it. The spot I was installing it is too narrow, so my brother mounted a piece of wood first, then screwed the Ring Camera to the wood. It’s very easy and user friendly to use. I can clearly see whoever is on my porch. I also live with my 86 year old mother and it gives me peace of mind when I see her going out the front door to get the mail, or when she’s cleaning and shaking out rugs, I can turn on the intercom when I’m at work and harass her. The ring on the camera changes color when I’m talking to her (or anyone that rings the doorbell). I did purchase a door chime, so mom can hear when a package is delivered or if someone rings the doorbell. If you don’t purchase the chime, the person at home without a smartphone can’t hear someone at the door. You can also program the chime so that it sounds different for a package as opposed to someone ringing the doorbell. Sometimes the WiFi turns off of it for some reason, but mom has figured out how to disconnect and then reconnect it so it starts working again. The Ring camera detects everything happening on the porch. I can even see at night. I subscribed to the cheapest plan, it does everything I need, it records and allows me to interact with whoever is on the porch.

This was easy to set up and connect to our phones. Works great. The image we see on our phones is clear. I like that it has a 'snooze' feature. We've had the unit for nearly two months now and haven't had to recharge it.

We had an older model before we moved and just got this one. It works great. We live in an apartment so we had to buy an apartment friendly mount which it does great in. It gives me the range of sight I need. The picture comes out clear when recording. It’s the perfect size to warn people but not to look ridiculous.

It detects motion very well. Even at night it picks up all the cats trying to sneak in your yard. No more mystery on who’s chomping the rosemary and pea plants. The picture quality is clear and it alerts you whenever someone comes to your door. Of course you can change the settings too. It’s durability seems fit for being outside in the elements. Easy install too.

First experience with Ring products has been stellar. This battery powered model was installed on a doorway without an existing doorbell. Overall, very easy to install and setup. Works seamlessly with the Ring app and performs every bit as well as advertised. A very convenient option vs routing permanent electrical wiring for the average person. The battery life has been incredible! This doorbell has been charged once since the beginning of the year and as of late March, it is still showing over 50% battery life remaining from a single charge. Purchased another as a gift and performance on that doorbell has been equally great. Highly recommended, especially for the price/value.

I had a different brand of video doorbell for the past 4 years. It was terrible. Half the time it would not pick up a person standing directly in front of it and even when someone pushed the doorbell button it did not always alert on our phone or ring the doorbell chime in the house. I finally had enough and switched to this Ring doorbell. I am so glad I did. The Ring doorbell is 1000% better. The video quality, the app, the controls, and even the setup are all way better. I should have made this change 4 years ago.
