great kit. I grabbed several sets of Avid Elixir XO brake sets off ebay a few years back. Now using them on 4 bikes and some of them were difficult to adjust. Turns out they just needed to be bled.This kid comes with several fittings. The 2 I needed thread into the bleed port no problem. The syringe that is included are well built. It even comes with a strap to hold the lever. I didn't use the gloves since a little bit of brake fluid on hand is not that big of deal.The first brake bleed took almost 40 minutes. Degassing as per instruction probably took the most time as well as trying to get all the air out. After 2 bikes, my bleeding time is down to 15 minutes. I realized, there is NO WAY to get all the air out and I don't waste time trying. I did my best and between the 40 minute bleed and the 15 minute bleed, the feels are about the same anyway.I probably saved a bunch of money doing this on my own. I have the tools to do it later in a few years.

This kit has the higher quality syringes with metal fittings, quality gaskets and a lubricant that all works well. You can pull and push at higher pressures to extract all the air bubbles out of the hydraulic system compared to my attempts with other kits. With that, you get extra tubes connectors, gaskets, and fittings. I highly recommend this one and the price is excellent.Ok, for all of you who are contemplating buying the other style of bleed kits that have cheaper mostly plastic syringes and some of them are even more expensive than this one, let me tell you now. Don't! The kits with weak syringes fail at low pressures that are easily reached during a typical bleed. They fail at the connection with connector tube, they fail at the connection with the break bleed port, and then again around the plunger gasket. These three potential fail areas will let air in causing you to re-bleed many times to unsatisfactory brake pressure.

Every bike shop near me has a backlog of 2-3 weeks to get brake service done. So I decided to do it myself, this kit is great, I have an Avid R, this works perfectly.The kit has to be put together, it was a bit tough putting the hose attachments together, but once set, it works and no leaks. The kit comes with extra gaskets which is important because I lost the original one that was attached. I just followed the instruction and checked YouTube, I was able to successfully flush the brake fluid and replace the brake pads. Just want to add, the storage box is perfect keeping thing organized, this kit comes with everything needed, just need to buy some Dot 5.1 brake fluid.

The Good -- Nice syringes, secure fittings, extra o-rings, brake pad blocks, it worked for me.The Not So Good -- Go to YouTube for comprehensible instructions, no fitting that will thread into a Hayes 9 lever reservoir.The Hayes 9's on my old FSB are always full of air by spring. Since a two-syringe bleed is somewhat involved, if not messy, I always had the shop do it. However, it's not really necessary. With a good syringe and a good enough fitting, simply rotating the brake lever and handlebars so that the lever-reservoir bleed screw is as high as possible, fluid can be repeatedly pumped into the reservoir and released, displacing the air back up into the syringe.The caveat with this kit is that it does not actually have a threaded lever reservoir fitting suitable for the Hayes 9. However, the included "Hayes" fitting could be held firmly against the reservoir opening with one hand while pumping the brake fluid with the other. This sealed well enough to force fluid into the reservoir and then push the air back up into the syringe. And since the syringe tubing has a wide enough internal diameter to allow bubbles to rise all the way up into the syringe, the process could be repeated in-situ until there weren't any more bubbles. Five-minute job, and the brakes are like new.The downside here is that this isn't usable for a complete piston-to-lever bleed (unless I just let the brake fluid go everywhere), should I ever decide to replace the fluid.

Excellent product. COMPLETE. Only need to buy the Dot 5.1 fluid. Quality syringes. I highly recommend. I bled several avid setups. Works great. There is no other kit that compares in quality and price. The Avid brand kitsiare 3x's the price and not necessary. Instructions included and in English. I used Motul dot 5.1 fluid, also purchased here on Amazon. (500mm bottle) way less expensive than the Avid Dot Fluid.

Used this to bleed the SRAM Guide RE brakes on my wife’s bike. Kit worked great. Easy assembly, no problems, and a perfect bleed. Price is much cheaper than SRAM Pro bleed kit. Recommended, would buy again.

This gets the job done. Has everything I needed to bleed my Avid Juicy 3's. The fittings (steel) that screw into the bleed ports (Aluminum) are not cut great and require some finess. I actually stripped part of a thread on my lever because I wasn't paying attention. The Sram models are tapered to allow the first thread to grab and straighten first.Otherwise I had no complaints. The bleed block looks much different, but worked fine. Overall good value, but I would prefer the Sram fittings.

This is a universal kit with syringes similar to the Avid/SRAM 'pro bleed kit,' but with cheaper plastic intermediate fittings.Other reviews noting that the tubing is difficult to fit were, I found, slightly exaggerated. I don't have insane hand strength but I was able to assemble the adapters I needed in about 5 minutes without heating or much trouble. The force interference fit was typical of tubing-nipple fittings I'd dealt with in other applications.In use, the plastic-to-tubing joints would leak air in under vacuum - not badly, but enough that you needed to pay attention before letting fluid back into the brakes or you'd be adding bubbles.This is a fine kit for DOT fluid brakes. It's not as nice as a SRAM pro kit but it's less than half the price, and way better than the normal kit.

Adatto a tutte le marche per lo spurgo dei freni idraulici! Consiglio di lavare bene dopo l'uso perche alcuni materiali plastici si corrodono facilmente.

It’s quite a complicated process to use the kit but follow the instructions and you will have brakes that work perfectly.

Les embouts, seringues etc... sont de qualité. J'ai parfaitement réalisé la purge sur mes freins Formula RX. Proprement et efficacement. Je vous le conseille.

Bei meinem Crossrad mit hydraulischer Bremse stand ein Wechsel der Bremsflüssigkeit an. Hier gibt es 2 Möglichkeiten. Entweder das Rad zum Fahrradladen in den Service bringen oder (wenn man technisch versiert ist) das Ganze selber machen. Für mich kam letzteres in Frage, da ich mit dem Rad täglich unterwegs bin.Die Lieferung erfolgte bei dem Verkäufer zwar aus China, aber das Set wurde zu meiner Freude viel schneller geliefert als angekündigt.Der Lieferumfang ist umfassend. Auch wenn es nicht beschrieben ist, passt das Set auch bei Shimano (Hier hatte ich den Verkäufer vorab aber auch gefragt). Der in den Bildern angepriesene Schlüsselanhänger war allerdings nicht bei.Die beigefügten Anleitungen sind leider auf Chinesisch (Dies ist aber bei vielen Produkten auf Amazon so da mittlerweile sehr viel dort produziert wird, daher hatte ich schon mit), aber auch englisch ist bei und es gibt auch einige Bebilderungen.Der Zusammenbau der Teile geht gut, nur bei den transparenten Schläuchen muss man etwas Kraft aufwenden wenn man diese aufschiebt (Dafür halten diese dann sehr gut und sind dicht).Bei der eigentlichen Anwendung klappt alles bestens und ich bin mit dem Ergebnis absolut zufrieden. Für mich hat sich der Kauf gelohnt, da es mir auf Dauer doch einiges an Geld spart. Der Preis mit um die 30€ ist im Vergleich zu anderen Kits etwas höher, aber da der Kundenservice gut ist und alles wunderbar funktionierte, gibt es von mir 4 bis 5 Sterne (trotz des fehlenden Schlüsselanhängers).

Lo he comprado para utilizar en mi Stumpjumper con frenos Avid Elixir R y ha funcionado correctamente, pues cuenta con materiales de primera calidad y numerosos adaptadores para prácticamente todo tipo de roscas de sangrado, además de varios repuestos para cubrir el deterioro habitual al que están expuestas ciertas piezas como las cánulas de PVC.Todo presentado en un estuche plástico cómodo de almacenar y transportar.No puedo hacer otra cosa más que recomendarlo.
