Dogs love it!
Vet recommended fish oil (Nordic Naturals) for my oldest German Shepherd, but it was going to be pretty expensive for the amount that he wanted her to have, and one bottle wouldn't have lasted very long and would be super expensive just for one dog. Not only that, I wanted to start giving it to all my dogs. I did some research on the different types of fish oil and decided to use cod liver oil, then found this product. I ordered a 3-pack off the bat and I'm glad I did. They all seriously love this stuff and will steal each other's portion when it's time for their vitamins. At the time I'm writing this review, I have just bought this product for a 3rd time after 2 months of giving it to my dogs. For context, I have 4 GSDs, 5-11 yrs old, 85-100 lbs, 1m/3f, and they have been raw fed their whole life (no veggies though), get Bully Max 9 in 1 vitamins daily, and three of them take apoquel for itching. I made too many changes at once to notice exactly how much difference this specific product made (added this fish oil, a small portion of veggies, and filtered water), but within the month, I immediately noticed my all black GSD who usually has a tone of white dander flaking all the time was no longer flaking anymore. Even one of the other tan/black females who also flaked less obviously was no longer flaking as much. Each one of their coats was significantly shinier, and the scratchers weren't scratching as much. I didn't notice any difference with the bully max vitamins, but I sure did with this cod liver oil.For dosage, I give each dog one tablespoon daily and the 3-pack lasts a month for me. A little messy, but since I have linoleum floors, they will lick up every drop of this stuff off the floor and still try to steal the bottle. The mess isn't an issue for me, but maybe put it on a plate for your dog if that's not possible for you. It's most definitely worth it!

Very nice cod liver oil!
Very nice quality Cod Liver Oil! It is quite palatable and my preference vs pills with whatever around them. My Dog adores this oil too! He would eat a whole bowl of food with just couple drops of the oil on it (even when not hungry). He knows the good stuff!

Supposed to be healthy
They say it's healthy and it tastes healthy. What more can I say? This is a good deal on cod liver oil. Get your omega-3 fatty acids the gag-inducing way, just like grandma used to do!

Great for vitamin A
I've used cod liver oil for vitamin A for quite some time now. The price on the stuff I used to get more than doubled recently so I searched and found this cod liver oil that was still reasonably priced. Only difference is the flavor. The old cod liver oil I used before had lemon and mint in it to stifle the fish flavor a bit. This stuff, kind of taste like lawn clippings smell blended with fish. If you can get past the taste, this is pretty good stuff. If you need flavorings to mask the taste then find something else.

WAAAY better than expected
Let me start by saying that I bought this with my heart health in mind. That said, I was sorta terrified to actually consume the stuff. I finished all of my fish oil capsules before popping the top on this oil, and dragged my feet before committing to eating it. I need not have worried. The flavor is very mild, almost no odor, and if you like fish like I do, the flavor is actually quite pleasant. Oh, and no more fish burps. Go figure.I mixed these 3 bottles with a bottle of flaxseed oil to get an ideal mix of omega 3 fats, and take 2 tablespoons of the mix daily. I usually mix it with some olive oil and use it as an oil dip with bread (the olive oil was something I had already been doing regularly). Mixed this way, the fish flavor almost entirely disappears.Like I said, I bought this for my heart health. But, starting on this had an unintended and welcome side effect. I have long suffered from inflammatory bowel, and off and on I will have weeks-long bouts of diarrhea (sorry for the personal details here). I was going through such an episode when I started taking the cod liver oil and it had not responded to any of the probiotics or medications that usually help to stem the tide. But the day after I started taking this, the diarrhea just... stopped. And didn't come back. I knew that omega 3 was supposed to be good as an anti-inflammatory agent for the cardiovascular system, but it seems to work wonders for the gut, as well. No more cramps, no more feeling like I suddenly have to run for the bathroom. And I had been hitting the throne room (at speed) around 6+ times a day at the time. Now, you might be tempted to call it psychosomatic or a placebo effect. The only problem is that I never considered taking fish oil for my bowel troubles. After all, I had been taking the capsules before and they never had any effect on my belly problems. And I was worried that, if anything, taking big doses of a fish oil might make it worse. So, imagine my surprise!Plus, I just generally FEEL better. Now, that may be a placebo effect, but it's still true. There's some discussion of the quality of this product in the questions section over concerns about how it's processed or extracted. I can tell you that because of my personal experience with it, I am a believer in its quality. And though my experience may be anecdotal, the results were definitive enough for me that I would call them better than any scientific study could have predicted. Time will tell what effect it has on my cholesterol numbers, but I have a confidence in that outcome that I haven't had with just about anything else I've tried so far. I can say with absolute certainty that I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone.
