This belt is great. The ratchet mechanism works great and holds in place perfectly. Adjustments are easy to make throughout the day as needed. Once you try a ratchet belt, you’ll never go back to the old kind. The leather is top grain leather of fantastic quality and the edge paint is flawless. The hardware is excellent quality and looks great.

I've been around the block with ratchet belts. Had numerous types from numerous companies. This is the best I've encountered and puts Mission Belt to shame. It's built like an absolute tank and yet very comfortable. The heft and chunkiness of the buckle mechanism had me concerned, but it wears very light. Plus... there's an ingenious bridge design over the pant button, so the buckle never pushes the button into your stomach uncomfortably. I really love that detail. The belt itself is very thick, and smells/feels like genuine leather. If they fooled me, they did a very good job.I am enormously impressed with this belt all around.

Never will I return to the old style belt with the pin buckle. Those types of buckles require one to pull the belt back to insert the pin. This weakens the belt and can cause the belt to crack or even fail. The ratchet type buckle means one just inserts the free end into the buckle and pull until it clicks in place or until the belt is comfortable. Yep, I'm sold. All my belts are now ratchet type. And another plus is the belt can be resized, or replaced if need be. Even getting a different strap or different color buckle. All interchangeable.Now for Chaoren. Very nice belts. Very sturdy. Very comfortable. The only thing I can mention is the type of buckle this 1.5" (38mm) belt uses. My other Chaoren belts have buckles that one lifts to release the belt. This 1.5" (38mm) buckle has a lift switch on the bottom of the buckle. I did not see this and took me a minute to get the belt off (LOL). Other than that, this belt is a keeper and I plan on getting more belts later.

I like this belt because it's actual leather and has a nice substantial (but not oversized) buckle. The ratchet mechanism works quite well and allows very small adjustments, unlike traditional buckle systems. The ratchet is a bit noisy when putting on the belt, but not objectionably so, and the look is a bit cleaner without holes. I like the color I chose, and may buy a another one in another color.

Feels good, seems like quality, and ratchets like it should

Sizing it very good, nice feel to the leather, as any leather product it will slightly stretch throughout the day so the quick adjustment is great and gives a more custom fit than a traditional belt. I like this belt enough to suggest it to several friends and they seem to like it as much as I do. The buckle has a nice look as well. The ability to replace the leather belt without having to buy a whole new belt is a nice feature as I am should the belt will eventually wear out. I have been using this belt for a couple of months and so far it has preformed better than I could have hoped.

The belt is good but a separation opened up.How can I get it repaired?
