Definitely size up on this if you want to be able to put the shorts on. Bought for my daughter who is a size 2. The small is oversized on her everywhere except the waist where it looks like it’s cut for an American doll. Overall she’s happy with them as she just stretches the elastic and rolls the waist 4 times to get the rest of the shorts the size she’d prefer.
