wonderful watch
Had this for over a year now, it's accurate and comfortable, but I find that I do not use the date function because it is just too small for my 54 year old eyes unless I'm wearing readers. I've banged the hell out of it and it still looks good to me. I though it was a striking looking watch but only one person has ever commented in it. I would have loved it in black but that version was missing the numerals. I am very pleased with it and would buy it again if necessary. This is the second mose expensive watch I have ever bought at $163, the most expensive was another Citizen at $181... and really that is my ceiling on watches.

incredible
My main concern judging by posted pictures and the watch face size. The face is perfect. I have a slimmer wrist with bigger hand and the contrast is awesome. The band is actually quite long, especially compared to an Apple L/XL. I had no issue finding the perfect fit. To clear up some maybe assumptions, the band is not perforated. It’s just dimpled. But, wrist hasn’t sweat. So far so good. The dial is stunning. This watch EASILY hits alot higher than its cost on Amazon. If someone were to ask me, I truly wouldn’t know. And that’s a good thing. The blue is brilliant, the polished silver is perfect, and the weight makes it a daily staple with no fatigue. Only gripe is the date truly is tiny. Like tiny tiny I question why even have it. But it’s hard to knock this watch at all. Final note, it’s even an eco drive which is nuts. Buy it.

Love the watch
Beautiful watch. Love the color. Goes great with almost any casual attire, especially blue jeans. Keeps accurate time so far. The only gripe I have is that the date is so small with white numbers on a black background that it is nearly illegible. There's almost no point in having the date on the watch, but otherwise the face is very easy to read. The band is a soft rubber. I think it will be bothersome to me in the summer so I'll look for a cloth replacement band. I also like the eco drive. I'm tired of having batteries die or capacitors fail (yeah, looking at you Seiko.)

My First Citizens Watch
Despite reaching middle-aged adulthood, I never owned a Citizens watch before. I've been more of a Casio kid before ditching timepieces (due to smartphones). Now, I resumed wearing a watch and recently discovered the Citizens eco-drive series. As a famous watchmaker, they pump out tons of watches with all sorts of fancy functions, but I'm attracted to the light charging characteristic instead of relying on watch batteries. And this navy blue and steel color scheme matches well with the casual clothes I wear typically. Wearing it has been a joy so far; the rubber band fits snuggly and doesn't let the watch slip up and down my wrist. The dials are fairly thick, so I could read the time at a glance. It is attractive looking and doesn't feel cheap, especially with the Citizens brand name so prominent on the face. This watch will probably be my favorite to wear for years to come.

Almost perfect watch
Watch looks stunning and perfect size. The fact you never need to charge or change battery is awesome. The only knock I have is the it's be perfect if the minute hour markers would be all luminescent. Now only the little dots at the outer emit light in the dark. Still, very nice watch!

Authentic or Knock-off
One of the reviews opined that the watch was a knock-off due to the case-back not having the Citizen logo. After nine days, the watch (set to WWVb) is about a second and a half fast. Extrapolating to 30 days the watch would be about 5 seconds fast. Not the best I have, but much better than the 11 seconds fast for my Luminox (Swiss Rhonda caliber). As I have the tools to change batteries in watches with screw on backs, I carefully removed the case back that is absent the Citizen logo. What I found was a quartz movement about 20 mm diameter, stamped with "Citizen Watch Co", "Japan", and "J810" (with a very lightly added "M" on the end). The battery was a Panasonic, made in Maylasia. There was a note on the inside of the case back reminding a viewer a rechargeable battery was required. My conclusion, based on this evidence, was that the watch had the genuine Citizen Eco Drive movement, and was cased in Maylasia somewhere. A China case would likely have a China-made battery. For what it's worth. As to the aesthetics of the watch, it is comfortable to wear, attractive, and weighs 2.7 ozs; which is a full ounce more that the Luminox referenced above (Carbonex case). At the price point, I conclude this solar powered watch is an excellent buy. I recommend it.
