Pickling Spice Mix, (200g)

I love pickled onions, so I thought I'd try making my own for the first time. A little bit of this spice seems to goa long way, a couple of tablespoons of this was enough spice the vinegar for five large kilner jars. The bag in the second photo is what was left afterwards and bearing in mind that the bag want full in the first place, so there is plenty of uses left from one purchase.I haven't tried the onions yet, but they smell mouthwateringly good with the spice added to the malt vinegar and can't wait to try them.I would definitely purchase these spices again!

Used it to pickle a red cabbage. It certainly has given it a kick. Much more than shop bought pickled red cabbage.

I tried all the local shops and none had it. I ordered from here and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived much quicker than predicted. A good quantity for the price and excellent quality.

Could have done with instructions or a typical recipe. Wasn’t sure how much to use and had to trawl the internet which was not easy as there were plenty of recipes on how to make your own combination of spices but not how much to use along with quantities of vinegar etc.

Great pickling spice especially for chutney. Second time I have bought it so it must be good

Beware that this mix may be very hot. I have removed about half of the chilli to make it less fiery.

Arrived in good time and just one complaint in that the picture has a large chilly whereas our packet had only tiny pieces

Very nice, good value, but by golly those chillies are strong! Pull them out, and their residual effect on the other spices will be plenty for whatever you're pickling.
