Ted Lapidus Altamir Eau De Toilette Spray for Men, 4.2 Ounce

Can be unisex but leans very slightly more masculine (only if you look for it)but not fem by any means! Safe blind buy for females who want Gaultier dupe or something in same stratosphere. Is it Gaultier2…. Absolutely not but you can make it Gaultier2 easily and cheaply / instead of paying exhorbitant eBay prices.Im a male who love Kurkdjian’s unisex fragrances , le male , ultra male and my #1 fav Gaultier2. I only wanted Grand Soir as it was recommended to be a dupe of Gaultier2 which is discontinued (and JPG botched and butchered with knew cheap reformulation ). In any event, while Altimar smells absolutely delicious (5 Star smell / blind buy worthy ) is not as dense, cloying , deep, intricate, musky and lacks ambergris, it does give you Gaultier2 vibes- Id say its maybeeeee 60% close to Gaultier2. They are completely different parfums, one great , one a masterpiece. However, LAYERING helped me transform Altimar into Gaultier 2. . So for me to make a Gaultier2, I just put ambergris oil on my skin (u can buy on eBay or sometimes OUD oil ) - and omg voilaaaaa- I had the 3 ingredients to make Gaultier 2 and it smells just as deep , dense , intricate , complex as OG Gaultier 2! Now I have a reason to live again ! :)My ONLY problem and disappointment with Altimar , it doesn’t last . Longevity and performance is atrocious ! I’d give it a 2 out of 10. Barely lasts 30 minutes and for such a beautiful , exceptional scent , it’s disappointing. If longevity and performance were better , this would be a top fragrance. It’s absolutely incredible but I don’t like wasting my money on frags that don’t perform.But for my purposes of makin Gaultier2 I don’t mind . If only someone can recommend an Altimar clone that performs, we’d have a living masterpiece. I just don’t know of one. But omg Altimar is absolutely phenomenal, safe blind but beware : you will be disappointed in performance. By the time u leave your house the smell so gone from skin . I carry a bottle in bookbag and spray myself every 20 minutes .

(Bought for my husband, these are his words...) It's a little more vanilla (literally) than I expected, but quite nice. It brings to mind spiced cookies, in fact. But the downside is that it seems to fade quickly. Still, I'm a fan of Ted Lapidus fragrances, and this didn't disappoint. Black Soul Imperial is favorite Lapidus, but I'd probably buy this again as a backup.

I can’t find this fragrance anywhere I have it to a friend it smelled already mainly super super vanilla projection not bad just super basic to me.

I have been wearing Lapidus Pour Homme for decades....since the late 80s. I have been wanting to try one of the other Ted Lapidus colognes for a long time. However, I did not see the need, for I love Lapidus Pour Homme that much....and have received plenty of compliments. Recently I took the plunge with Ted Lapidus Altamir. The first spray did not do much for me. However, after the second spray and the cologne started to air dry.... oh, my...it smells amazing!!! It is sooo good!!! I would like to say it is my new favorite Ted Lapidus cologne. However, the decades of wearing Lapidus Pour Homme are keeping me from making that statement,lol For what is worth, out of the two, Altamir is my wife's favorite.

Strong masculine scent not over powering. You will get quite a few compliments. May need to reapply depending on you the scent works with your skin. Tip I was told, use unscented body oil as a base and you’ll almost get a 8-10hrs

Great small although a little light compared to other Lapidus wonderful products

I'm a big fan of Lapidus colognes. Altamir is one of my favorites of any house. Notes include tonka bean, orange blossom, amber, jasmine, neroli, musk, pachouli and vetiver, but it smells like magic, creamy, vanilla bliss to me. Altamir works any season, any time of day. Two bottles in a row, however, came with broken spray heads that project like squirt guns and send a second spray stream into the spray housing that leaks down the side of the bottle. Good news is the whole room smells like Altamir all day. Bad news is juice gets wasted cause I'm not home all day to smell it.
