My daughter wore this costume to a religious Halloween party and won third place. While it does work of the image of Mary, the actual costume is pretty sheer and flimsy for the cost. I think it should cost more like $10 or $15. However, it got to me quickly which is what was needed because I found out about the party late in the week. The head dress is difficult to keep on your head. You need a hijab pin or some creativity so it will not fall off your head. We used a safety pin to get it to stay on. The rope belt was a nice touch. Overall, it did the job.

This costume is great to have on hand if your church or school routinely does Christmas plays. It is very well made, and feels like a much better quality costume than what you would find for Halloween in particular. It feels like something that could be used for dramatic presentations like school plays, or Christmas presentations.I, myself, frequently need to shoot photography of people in authentic biblical costumes for art and illustration work. I collect these types of costumes so that when those projects come up, I can stage scenes and reference for paintings and drawings. This outfit has been a worthy addition to the collection.Sizing is pretty accurate, though to be honest, with this type of outfit, they tend to be loose and flowy by design. So even an outfit that might be a bit too big can easily be pinned or tied to fit. It's typically better to have them be a little bit loose than too tight.Very happy with it overall. It's been very helpful to have on hand for our productions and illustrations.

If it were not for the size, I would keep the costume. I’m not quite 5’2”, usually wear a medium, sometimes a small, & it is not large enough for anyone larger than me. It is for a Christmas program & we don’t yet know who will be “Mary”, so can’t run the risk. Very disappointing as it is a pretty dress. The comfort & quality are sufficient.

You will definitely want to wear white underneath this costume, leggings and a tank top of a leotard give the light weight of the fabric, but it fit well and will make a great costume for our Christmas float in the Christmas Parade
