Crystal Shuttle Bird Carrier, Clear with Blue Carrying Strap, 15-Inches L x 10-Inches W x 8-Inches H

To make a long story short, I needed to come get my mom's bird due to her chronic health issues. After researching and calling the airline (United) a few times trying to make sure I had all the bases covered, I choose this awesome carrier to transport the bird back to my home. At first she did not understand the dimensions of the cage and freaked out thinking it was clear so she could fly. I quickly placed a towel over the top and she calmed down. Her claws caught on the carpet so we placed her walnut litter on the bottom and she felt right at home. You will receive lots of attention from curious lookers as to what this cage is for and what is in it. I took Byrd (yes her name is Byrd) to the Vet to get her Health Certificate and the vet was very impressed with this carrier.I got right through security and no issues at all with this carrier fitting perfectly under the seat. Highly recommend this carrier and will definitely use this again if she needs another trip to the vet or if we have another adventure outside the house.

Just took my budgie on a plane with this yesterday. He survived the trip and was pretty chill the whole time in this thing. The sides are somewhat reflective, so he saw himself and thought he had a buddy the whole trip. I think it helped. The carrier fit under the seat with a little room to spare and got through check in and security just fine. I definitely got a lot of stares and comments! The stainless steel water bowl that they have as an add-on worked great for water. I wish I had gotten one for food too, but a millet stick worked just fine. Excellent purchase!

This case made what could've been a very stressful trip rather pleasant. My two Quakers were in here for a little over 10 hours. It was their first flight and my first flight with birds. They had room to move around, but snuggled together most of the trip. I lined the bottom with newspaper for easier cleaning. When they did get vocal it was slightly muffled by the container.

I cannot say enough good things about the Crystal Shuttle Bird Carrier. When we were faced with an overseas move (Florida to Manila!) we had to decide how to best take our sun conure with us on the long journey. Eventually, we settled on the Crystal Shuttle.There was an adjustment period in the beginning, and it took some coaxing to get her to go into the shuttle on her own, but eventually she was happily running in for granola and nuts, and would even get excited when she saw the shuttle come out! We took several trips to the vet with this shuttle to get her microchipped and have pre-move blood tests done, and she was comfortable riding in the car each and every time. After proper training with it, the shuttle became her safe space, and when it was time to make the move, she was comfortable enough to sleep through most of the flight. At the end, she actually didn't want to come out of the shuttle! I think that was mostly nerves over being in a new place, but is a testament to how safe she felt in the shuttle.The shuttle itself was incredibly durable and strong. The straps were well placed, although I did clip the little piece tying them together to make it easier to carry. I also moved the wooden perch to a higher air hole so that she wasn't sitting directly on the ground. She liked to chew on the wooden perch, but it kept her busy during the move - it wouldn't be too hard to replace it with a wooden dowel if it got completely chewed through, but happily that didn't happen. I even hung a toy from one of the air holes in the top of the shuttle, so she would have something to play with. I wish the velcro door had a more secure fastener to close, but it did seem secure during the entire move - and you'd better believe I checked it regularly.The shuttle was almost perfect - I ended up sewing a felt cover for it so she would feel safe, and not too exposed when walking through airport - parrots are cavity nesters, and feel safe in dark spaces - it seemed to help. It would be great if Crystal Flight sold a custom shuttle cover because sewing one was a bit of a pain, although it worked out really well, and I could cover her up to block out all the sometimes overwhelming sights/sounds/people, but still lift the cover to let her see out during calmer moments. I can't imagine moving without it!

Great product very high quality. Lots of room for my meyers parrot to turn around. He doesn’t mind going in.

We ordered this carrier for our Jenday Conure when we had to move from Hawaii back to the mainland. This carrier was the best thing to ever happen, it's easily insepectable by TSA and it fits under the standard size airline seats (just be sure to check as not all aircraft are the same). Plus our Jen loves it, prior to this carrier we used a standard pet carrier and our bird would freak out and scream. While she was in this carrier she isn't scared and during our 10 hr flight she didn't make a sound. We ended up getting a second carrier when we got a Cherry Headed Conure.PROS: Easy inspection by securityEasy clean out (minus the rug, we use news paper in it's place)Fits under standard airline seats (always check before you fly)Your bird may feel safer.Durable.CONS:Velcro seems chinsy. We put another strip across to keep it secure.The rug that comes with it is better replaced by news paper.Straps aren't adjustable.

It work just as I planed. my bird survive seven days on the road. I had two of them one larger the the other and was placedon top of each other. the one bird was blind so he was on the bottom Worked out fine

This is terrific--light weight, easy to carry, easy to manage. I much prefer it to using a small cage! This is a great travel size for my Green Cheek Conure, who often comes to work with me. I will need a larger one for my Amazon and Gray.
