Legends of the Dark Knight: Norm Breyfogle Volume 2

Any Batman Comic Book fan should know, that the Batman stories written mostly by Alan Grant and especially drawn by Norm Breyfogle are the best ones and the most realistic and thrilling!! So since I had the first volume I was hoping that there will be more. Was not easy, because this books appearance has been delayed, but finally it's in now! I have pre-ordered it, so the lowest price I payed for was £26, which we must admit is super cheap, considering that is hardcover, for example the Marvel Masterworks you can rarely get for under £40!! So it was a super deal and I am already hoping and waiting for a third volume!! :) (The only negative thing is, that maybe they could have chosen a better front cover picture).

Ah, what can one say haven’t been said before? Breyfogle, Grant, Mitchell? The best Batman stories, the Batman stories many of us grew up with. Stories that were dark, exciting, but always educational too. These are true legends. Breyfogle’s body of work was long overdue for a release and DC rectified that with the first one back in 2016.The wait for this volume 2 was quite long winded and hopefully no 3 will come a bit sooner. There is so much to release still! My nitpicks are exactly the same as with the first one. Although the digital colouring not as hasty and ugly vibrant as the first one, mistakes were made, but as I said before, much better looking than the first one! Worth every penny! Get it while you can!C’mon DC! Bring on volume 3!

A tragedy that Norm has left us. A properly classic run with dynamic Bat art from Norm.
