Self-help book to relieve pain.....and it works!
Excellent self-help book! The anatomy and physiology section helped me understand how doing the exercises will help balance the muscles in my pelvis and relieve my pain. I like the way the book had me assess my pain and then led me to the correct beginning exercises. The explanation of each exercise is detailed and has pictures and breathing pattern included. Plenty of exercises but not overwhelming. I seem to change the way I do an exercise over time so this will be a great reference for me! Thank you for this excellent book!

Add the exercises one at a time - Three week pain relief
I have worked through the book. After suffering piriformis syndrome, sciatica and lower back pain for 3 months, this is best set of exercises I have found. I progressed through the contents of the book in about 3 weeks and the pain level decreased almost daily as I did the PT. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The pictures really illustrate what you should do. I had acute pain to start and was constantly using cold and heat, lying down and generally not productive. You do not do the whole book at once! The first couple of days I was only doing the first two pelvic balancing exercises, but then added more each day. I also have some lower back issues from an old L4/L5 surgery so I began adding crunches, etc to strengthen the abs and lower back as my pain decreased. The pain level decreased over the days and moved as I stretched out the muscles. I wore a sacroiliac belt for couple of weeks to stabilize the SI joint and lower back for the first couple of weeks and I think it helped me get through the physical therapy exercises with minimal sciatica flair ups.Consider also getting therabands, SI belt/back brace and maybe a tens unit as well. I liked everything in Riczo's book. She emphasizes exercise, repetition, and time. If I was to add anything to her great advise is to learn better sleep positions with pillows, etc. so your muscles do not spasm while your are sleeping.

A Most Amazing Book
This is an amazing book. Yes, it's only 40 pages long but it's packed with details that I have not found elsewhere and--most importantly--the exercises and tips really work! The photographs and descriptions are concise, and the exercises are easy to follow. I have referred back to this again and again since purchasing it at the beginning of January. Each time I do, I pick up on another tip that I did not see before. My sacroiliac issues are decreasing, and I can not thank the author enough for sharing her expertise.

Excellent Resource
I have been struggling with SI pain for three years and your book describes it so well. The stretches are easy to understand. I've been doing them daily for three weeks now and do get relief from them. Also because of your recommendation, I am seeing a PT next week that specializes in women's pelvic health. Thank you for your diligence in researching this topic and writing this book!

Get his book if you have back pain
Book was recommended by the "world famous PT guys' and it was just what I needed. Have had 2 back surgeries followed by physical therapy, but this book is way better than that ever was. Simple and progressive stretches and exercises with pictures and explanations, and very easy to follow. I can do them anywhere, without special equipment other than a latex band and a pillow. Takes less than 5 mintues a day to do them, and I add other stretches for about a 10 minute session every evening or when my back has been overworked at any time.

Good Book with Lots of Info
This is a gift for someone, but with a quick glance it looks like it has a lot of info. Only reason Iām giving a 4 start was the packaging as the book arrived bent.
