The Halti is so very much better than the others! I’ve tried several. The biggest problem with them is the neck and nose straps must be uncomfortably tight to even stay in place. Miserable for the dog and they still actually pull against it. The Halti is in a whole different league. The design is way better. It has a strap connecting the head strap and nose strap on each side of the mouth. This allows it to stay on the nose without being overly tight. Dogs can’t pull it off even though it is comparatively loose. Be sure the neck strap is snug though but not uncomfortably tight. It’s much better made in materials, stitching and padding. The Halti also even has a safety strap included that attaches to the dogs collar. The other brand did release at the snap letting the dog run free. A safety strap would have prevented that. Best of all, the dogs respond to the Halti with a much better response. The price is only a few dollars more. Pay attention to measurements in order to get the correct size. Take the time to introduce it over a couple of days so the dog thinks it’s a treat dispenser. After they get used to it, They love it and so will you. This is the best choice for sure.

I needed something for my over 100 lb Rottweiler. He is a very bad puller. I can't take him for walks at all. Once he pulled me down because a work person was at my house. He was able to pull me to the ground. I had tried various harnesses and leashes. None helped. I did not want to try a prong collar as I had an unfortunate accident with prongs on an E-collar. I had used a gentle leader before but it kept slipping off his muzzle. I did some research and came upon this Head Halti. I loved that it can attach to his collar in case it comes off. The day it arrived, I put it on him and attached to his collar. I bought a brand new double ended leash for his as well. Let me tell you, I was able to walk him and not get pulled around. My husband was with me just in case. I also had another leash on him just to be on the safe side. He didn't like the Head Halti at first. He did try to get it off. I felt so empowered being able to actually enjoy taking my big boy on a walk. I love that the muzzle has a pad on it. I got the size 4 for him and it is a good fit. My husband doesn't use it for him, but I do. He will sit and let me put it on him. Once, he was able to take it off, but it was attached to his collar! So I didn't have to run around chasing him. I love this Head Halti! I wish I would have gotten it sooner. I had in fact messaged a woman on the internet to get a prong collar in case this didn't work. Once I saw that it worked, I message her quickly cancelling the sale!! If you have a puller, get this collar!

I have a 60 pound pitty who likes to pull. I tried many other devices, and this is the only one that truly works for us. It took me a few walks to develop a good method, as with the lead connected under the mouth, my dog would frantically paw at his mouth when it tightened and it worried me that he couldn't pant properly.So my method is, I use a Martingale collar (tightens when pulling so cannot come off), and I connect my leash to the Martingale collar instead of the ring under his mouth as my dog really cannot tolerate the constant tightening around his mouth. Having the head collar lead attached at the same place as my leash on the Martingale collar assists with stopping him from pulling without so much tightening as it still makes his head turn back toward me. I still have to watch him around other dogs when he pulls more as it will tighten around his mouth and sometimes not release as it gets twisted and I have pull the mouth parts down to loosen them. I washed the head collar in fabric softener so it slides better through the plastic parts under his mouth.Now, he barely pulls on walks with this head harness, he acts better when encountering other dogs or 'suspicious' people, and I can get him under control so much easier. I highly recommend this, but be sure to check it loosens after tightening around the mouth and maybe wash yours in fabric softener before use.Also of note, the measurements indicated he needed a 2, but the 2 was way too constrictive around his mouth so I ordered a 3 which fits perfectly.

It's hard to know if this is going to fit your dog. The muzzle strap doesn't have an adjustment, so it is not all that easy to use.These are well made and quite durable, there is padding on the muzzle strap but it seemed to invite the dog to try to use his front paws to try to remove it. I think that the comfort was not all that great. Even when it doesn't fit well it does add to the level of control, and it does it's job.

The design of this headhalter makes it much more safe and functional. I included photos that allow you to see under the chin. You will not get this design with any other brand. This keeps the halter out of the dog's eyes and the pressure in the appropriate location on the nose.The fit is so much better, as is the material. There's enough padding on the nose band without creating a block in the dog's vision. The design works as intended unlike other brands of head halters. I have tried several other head halters and they go in her eye when pulled on and are cheaply made with thin nylon.Yes the price is higher, but the safety and comfort of this brand makes it well worth it. Even with minimal training she is happy to leave it on and does not rub or paw at it to try to get it off.
