SHU FLATZ SHU-FZB91 Bass Drum Stand

Fantastic product that makes life so much easier and consistent from gig to gig. Easy to setup (just a few minutes) and off you go! It fits the mic securely and a natural shock mount. Super lightweight and hard to beat. No stand, no fuss at setup, no rolling around/moving around inside the drum. Well engineered and great. Now, if Kelly Shu would just make a proper mic cable that would fit to the vent hole it would make this product perfect! You will need to order a 2'-3' mic cable that stays permanantly attached to the mic and zip tie it to one of the bass drum spurs so you don't have to mess with plugging a mic cable in/out every gig. Buy yourself a good quality cord mentioned above that stays with the drum that never needs to be messed with after the initial installation. I have the mic cable coming out of the port in the reso front head and zip tied to the outside bass drum spurs as previously mentioned. Enjoy!

This thing is awesome. I work at a large church with multiple drum kits in different rooms. We’re also moving drum kits around and this mount has been essential in keeping kick drums miked in the perfect spot every time. It’s a pretty snug fit for a Beta 91A, which is what I was looking for. I wasn’t really expecting to hear a difference from the mic being in this harness vs being laid down on the muffling in the kick, but I was surprised that it sounds better with this harness. We’ve retrofitted every kick drum on campus with one of these, highly recommend.

Great mic mount! I now consider this mount as essential hardware -- especially for recording. Obviously, there's a lot that goes into capturing the full "attack and punch" from a bass drum. But, the Kelly Concepts SHU-FZB91removes the guesswork for placement of the Beta 91a. It's easy to mount and everything, including the mic, sits securely. Side note...If you're new to internal miking, just ensure your XLR cable does not end up resting on the resonate head.

Installation was really simple-- the instructions were detailed and there was even an extra leather strap/rubber loop included! I mounted this in my 22" Mapex Saturn kick drum. It sounds great without me having to place it in the kick for every gig. The microphone is shock mounted and doesn't pick up an vibrations from the drum shell. A must buy product!

This things awesome. simple installation and it has now been in my bass drum for about 7-8 months which equals maybe 120-130 gigs... I've had absolutely ZERO issues with it. Perfect so far. And its SOOOO nice to not have to put a mic in my drum every week. I use the Beta 91 with it anddddddd this is a perfect way to use it.

I dislike this product. It did not work for me.

This thing is the s***. I've had the beta 91 since it first came out. Now it sounds even better and I never take it out of the drum. Sweet!
