IF YOU HAVE GAS OR PROPANE IN YOUR HOUSE, YOU MUST HAVE THIS DEVICE!!
First off, as a technology writer, I must say that it is very rare for me to leave five star ratings on Amazon.I had a little difficulty at first setting up the WiFi for the detector. I did as they instructed, and sent a note via email to the address listed in the box. I assumed that I would be lucky if they answer me at all! To my pleasant surprise, I received a telephone call from them WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF SENDING THE EMAIL !! How rare is that? How many times have we all attempted to reach a vendor on amazon only to never connect.The fact that they responded within 10 minutes speaks volumes about how good this company is. I installed the gas detector in my basement where my gas furnaces are located and it worked perfectly sending a signal to my iPhone. This unit also has an automatic self test mode so every day it will test itself to insure proper operation.To me, this is a device that anyone who has gas in their home should have. This detector detects both natural gas and propane and as stated, is a must have device!

You need one!
I am always worried did I leave the stove on. Not anymore. This is a good looking unit which has to be plugged in. It also needs to be setup. Read the instructions on the site! You need to get an account for your email and phone information. And you have to configure it with your wifi. Tap SELF TEST button once to wake it up, then again to trigger it.Tip: you can use a lighter to test it for real. Just keep it under the unit and press the gas lever. I also left the stove on without the flames for a few minutes as a test and it beeped. Then I got a text message.

Absolute necessity for those using propane to heat their home
I use propane to heat our home and purchased this device shortly after a building in a nearby town had a catastrophic explosion due to a leaking propane gas line. The explosion killed the towns fire chief who was investigating a gas leak. So far this device has worked flawlessly and the WiFi notifications received on my mobile phone add a sense of reassurance. Glad I bought it.

Neat Gadget...Good Features...Poor Sensitivity and Power Cord Connection.
Pros. 1) Unit is attractive 2) Good alarm reporting feature to my cellphone and email. 3) Excellent customer support to my telephone and email enquiries.Cons: 1) Poor sensitivity in detecting gas leakage. I placed the device on top of my stove burner with the gas knob set such that gas is allowed to leak. The unit went into alarm after approximately 10 mins and very strong odor of gas in the kitchen and adjacent rooms. 2) The USB power connection not best method, since connectors are easily disconnected from the power adapter (wall connection) and USB to the device.In short I do like the looks and construction and remote reporting features. The sensitivity of the alarm reaction time is a bit of a concern and I do not feel confident that this would serve as a timely alarm for gas leakage

Safety even when away from home
I love this device. It is small and the tech support is great over the phone. This is installed in my vacation home for peace of mind. I will receive a notice via email if there is a leak so I can notify gas company immediately. I can monitor this remotely on my phone. Also the company monitors all of its devices.

Pretty great product
Received the product quickly. Simple to set up and looks nice. The device isn't an eyesore and is actually nice to look at which is a plus! WiFi connected easily which I was surprised about -- for an inexpensive product it seems to be well made and sturdy. I was worried that the configuration would be difficult with multiple steps but I was able to test and get a text on the first try.

Very useful and sensitive
I buy the product three weeks ago. The customer service is very helpful. The product is very sensitive. I put the alarm nearby the stove for 3-5 seconds and the alarm sounds. Thus I believe it is a very good, safe and sensitive natural gas alarm to use at home. And the email and sms message alert will help people when I am not at home and worried about the gas leak.

Peace of mind
This gas detector is what I needed for peace of mind knowing if I’m at home or at work that if there is a gas leak around my stove I will be alerted via text
