I absolutely love Bungo Stray Dogs, I am so happy that it's getting an English translation! As you read reviews for the Yen Press translations of BSD, you'll see some people complain about it, I'm not sure why though. I've brought all 10 of the currently translated manga and I haven't seen this "British" tone they keep complaining about? There are only a handful of things in the translation that are a tad off, nothing too major though. All in all, I would definitely recommend this manga series. It's an excellent manga, and a good translation!

I absolutely love Japanese literature and Bungou Stray Dogs. I'd say I'm pretty well versed in the real life authors and how the series reflects their lives and works. Yen Press has done a pretty slipshod job with how they write the characters and make the English flow. Somehow they managed to make the Japanese authors sound British! None of it sounds natural. Plus they didn't use any of the terminology fans of the anime are used to (for example "abilities" is "skills," which doesn't make sense because you aren't born with "skills" the way ability users are born with their abilities; you can't learn how to turn into a tiger!). I am definitely not impressed with this, which sucks because I want to buy it to support the original creators. Guess I'll just buy the Japanese because then more money will go to the creators and I can still see the beautiful art.

I absolutely love this manga of Bungo Stray Dogs and I can't wait to read this manga and see how it differs from the anime and also see what it's about.
